First Blu Ray title to arrive from the

The first Blu Ray title has finally arrived from the Treasured Films subscription and it's an absolute cracker! I love this film and can't wait to watch it I've not seen it in donkey's years.

Have had this for years on blu ray from Germany,great picture and sound plugs extras and cost me just a couple of quid,great movie indeed.

@andywilley1477 The amount of people who have said to me they've never heard of it is criminal. Especially when you look at the cast as well - Michael Caine and David Warner. It's criminally over looked and so under under rated

Good unboxing 👌 interesting you mention disc rot. Experienced this recently - the disc itself looks fine but froze while playing. Used to play fine. It's unfortunate as it makes you reevaluate whether investing so much in physical media is worth it...

@jayzee5351 I had a dvd that did that, it used to play great but I has to buyvanother because it just started sticking. It never occurred to me to disc it because I thought that had to be visible

@rockgod2004 our issue was with a dvd too. Hoping blu ray and 4K are more durable 🤞 Don't recall seeing many reports of disc rot for blu ray...

Tbh, the threat of 'Disc Rot' is one of the select few issues that worry me about collecting physical media.😨

Looks a nice edition that one matey.. so what's the deal with the subscription? Do you not know what title you're going to get through?

@XFile2708 They had a subscription at the beginning of the year but it was a very limited number, I think it was about 60. You could either have where you just got all the films - it stated 5 in total, or you could pay extra and get everything they released which was all the little extras like posters and fridge magnets plus 2 soundtracks on vinyl. We've had one soundtrack earlier this year and this is the first film. So there's apparently another 4 before the year end. The next film will either be the video nasty or a film called You Might Be The Killer

@XFile2708 it's not Film Treasures it's Treasured Films. Film Treasures deals with imports, Treasured Film actually release their own titles but it's thevsame company but different website

Thats a nice looking package Nigel and I'm unfamiliar with the film but it definitely feels like it's worth a look! To me 1980 doesn't seem that long ago but Jesus it's 44 years. As it's Peter Benchley I assume you've seen The Deep also written by him? I had a huge crush on Jacqueline Bissett back in the day! I probably still would to be honest 😅😅 Chat to you Friday!

@thedarkknightish Yrah I've seen The Deep, it's a slow burner, it's pretty good though, not brilliant. I've got The Deep soundtrack on blue vinyl. Oh excellent, speak Friday mate 🙂

A tour of their early stuff brings out all the neanderthals, the one's who only like the first 2 albums or their last great album was Powerslave - THAT crew. I'm not taking I AM going for granted. I'm actually quite nervous in case I don't get to go. Be Quick Or Be Dead would be amazing as would To Tame A Land.
