Which is a 1hr journey from Bangalore its around 35km, and also a hill station here which is very famous known as Nandi hill. There are trucking places and museums within 5km of that temple. People come from US and UK and other countries to see these here. maybe useful for you. If you want to be so close to nature then visit skandha Giri, Channagiri, near Nandi hills.
