Randy your a beast. For all practical purposes you packed a half elk at least a mile at a ripe young age of 57. Good on you. I'll be 57 in February and don't know I could do it. Great watch thanks for sharing.

Congratulations Sean and Carigan.. Randy, great Hail Mary. You are the guy when it comes down to the last minute and you pull out a spot and stock. You are the master of spot and stock. You laid out the script and it happened just like you said. Even the elk read the script. Well done. Randy I sent you a picture of elk on the moon. You have to zoom in and then you will see them.

Great hunt, Sean and Carraig! Elk hunts can test you more mentally than physically sometimes, until the point you tag out (you definitely earned your bull that last day on the pack out!). Congrats on a nice bull --- you and your son now have memories that will last a lifetime! Way to hang tough, Randy ...

What a great series! Loved the whole thing... Not like most tune-in and see a kill shot video. No sir, a Randy Newberg hunt is the real deal, from the good, the bad and the ugly... You sir do it right and that's why everyone is a fan. Congrats to Sean and props to Carriag for making the whole hunt and not complaining one bit. Randy, if you keep doing those monster pack outs, you're going to need to bring Marcus along too! Can't wait to see what's next.

Whether successful or not, teardown is always bittersweet. Good time to reflect on the trip and take one last good look around. So, in my opinion there should be a channel with continuous Randy Newburg hunting and outdoors - 24/7. 👏

Congrats to Mr. Sean Flannery(a fellow Irishman) and coudos to you Randy for being kind enough to let his son(Carraig) come along. Over the years, I think I've seen almost all of your videos, and one could think it's always the same, coming to a place, setting up the camp, looking for an animal, waiting, searching, glassing, elaborating hypothesis and strategies, finally kill an animal, packing the meat and go home... but no. Every story is different, every experience is new... and the pleasure of discovering all this every time is still entire. Thank you for what you give us. Sincerely From a french hunter living in Norway.

Randy, remember last year when your knees were screaming and you didn’t even know if you would be able to do it again? And now, here you are at almost the end of the season, carrying out a “Lazy man’s load” (in my dad’s words…)! 😉😂😂 My elk trips (5) all ended fruitlessly in terms of meat, but incredible experiences of majestic mountains, bull elk bugling with the steam coming out of him as he signaled to his herd that it was time to head to the woods, a cougar and a lynx sighting, and horse backing 8 miles deep in the wilderness where we got 36” of snow….

Damnit Randy, you worked your ass off getting that elk out for them! Seems like a four wheeler could've parked about where that crevasse popped out and save some back! I bet y'all ate two doubles with everything at that dairy queen!
@Fresh_Tracks2 жыл бұрын
There are motorized travel restrictions that keep four wheelers and such on roads and trails. Part of the reason there are elk in here is that there is no motorized travel that is scaring them off. Makes for more work, but what else did I plan to do for the next 24 hours? 🤔

I vote for a video of Carriag going for his first big-game animal when he comes of age. He's a great kid and I loved the video you did of the special needs youngster that wanted to go hunting with you that you put out a few years back. Something about watching a youngster get that first animal that's really heartwarming. Nice series of videos for this hunt. Thanks.

Wonderful story! Thank you for that hunt and all that went into it. It really is the complete package. I have only one minor criticism: @6:14 you show Carraig standing in the sun... and there is a large reflective patch right over his binocular case or whatever in the center of his chest. Just a small detail, but one that could spook game easily. See you outdoors, Randy. Love from New Mexico.
