Just a quick tip for you, invest in a cheap pipe bender and you can make your radiuses on the Benz just a little bit more smoother. I love the idea of stiffening up the body. I believe harbor freight in the Amazon have those pipe benders I know I've bent 3/4-in galvanized pipe with them with no problem.
