I loved Enid Blyton books when I was a kid in the 60’s and 70’s. I read all the Children of Cherry tree farm, , Magic faraway tree, Wishing chair, Famous Five, Secret Seven, Malory Towers and St. Claire’s series.

Yes!! they bring back so many happy memories! I loved nothing more than curling up on my bed on a rainy afternoon and getting stuck into a good book! Malory Towers was a huge favourite as a child:)x

To clean the iron mix some bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar to make a paste, dip a clean cloth in the paste and use it to scrub the sole plate, leave on for 10 minutes before scrubbing if it’s hard to get off. Don’t use a Brillo pad or wire wool as it will scratch it xxx

U can buy iron stick £3 Wilko it wipes straight off after 5 mins but I like your idea things that’s in the cupboard anyhow x

@Claire Bear I didn’t know you could get that. That would be a good thing to have as if you haven’t got the bicarb and white vinegar in the cupboard it would probably cost more to buy them, depending on where you shop I guess, the prices in my local shops are awful x

If your old iron is spitting out brown bits, it means it needs descaling. Easy to do xx

You can clean an iron by breaking up paracetomol and rubbing it in the warm plate of the iron x

Also we LOVE car boots!!! And vinted! Get it on a hot wash, as good as new!! 💗 We buy second hand bundles… and charity shops! As good as new!! Making cut backs like that means i can take my kids on holiday for a week or 2 of the year! 💗 Lots of love xxx

Yey! Cannot wait to get to a carboot this year! No am changing subject but have you been in herons this week fay went to my local one cross the road from my house 5 min walk there doing box of fishfingers and orange Warburton bread for 1.50 and if buy pack of tetley tea bags only ones on the tea and coffee bit you get a box victoria biscuits for 3 00 makes it 1.50 each and box biscuits l got is double pack

You can rub the bottom of your iron with a paracetamol tablet to get the scorch marks off… Google it 🙂
