Loved this vlog Hannah. It brings back memories of my darling dad. I was born in the early 60s and my dad loved aviation and flight! We as a family would drive to Exeter Airport on a Sunday afternoon to watch the planes take off and land. Occasionally we would go inside the airport for something to eat and a browse of the duty free shops. They were very special times... back then Airports were definitely more relaxed.

LHR is hands down my favorite airport! It is truly the only airport I look forward to arriving too early. I love it when the duty free staff tell you of the great deals. The last time I was there they let me know of a mascara deal they were having and I bought three tubes for half the price I normally pay. Gordon Ramsey’s had a tasty and fairly priced lunch as well. Thanks for reminding me how fun it is there!

My sister and her fiancée are pilots for BA and have both said that the airport lounge does let down the experience, when I used it I enjoyed it but did find it extremely busy and a bit chaotic. Love all your videos and looking forward to see what 2023 brings. Happy new year keep safe and well.

As a pilot who adores fashion, I never have the time to peruse these shops whilst working. So this vlog is great, love it! Funny that you work in fashion, as I dream of working in fashion in a parallel life. Much prefer the hustle and bustle of the terminal atmosphere rather than an awkward lounge for sure. Brilliant vlog Hannah. I love the lounges. I used to fly around the world for work in biz class. The best BA lounge there in T5 is the one to the right when you go through security. You can book a free massage, and they have Elemis showers! If you want champagne, you have to ask them. Can't wait for your next vlog!

Airport and aviation geek here too Hannah. One of my biggest regrets it’s not taking an opportunity to train as a pilot for Air2000 ( I think your too young to remember them!). Longchamp is VERY popular these days, I have several of the nylon totes and they are great for travel. I love watching airplanes. My grandfather started taking us to a local airport in New York as children. Back then you could get up pretty close and personal with the planes. I watch videos and sometimes if I am near an airport and have time, I will park in their observation areas and watch the planes go in and out. My husband thinks I am crazy. He hates to fly and I love it! I also had many family members who worked the airlines years ago. Love this vlog!

Great vlog Hannah especially as I used to work in T5 in the duty free for a cosmetic brand so it was lovely having a look around and seeing my old work place again. I admit it was more fun when I first started the job in the 90’s and I think I left at the right time. I didn’t ever get to see the lounges as staff weren’t allowed in so nice to have a look around. I have not been to terminal 5 at Heathrow, the last 3-4 times i have been to London was either into Gatwick or Luton. Great luxury shops, but definitely out of my price range 😂. I have a friend who is an air force helicopter pilot and he quite often has to fly to different cities for training purposes or meetings. He has become well known at the business class lounge, so much so that the staff recognise him and automatically bring him his usual drink and snacks 😂😂😂😂. I like a good business lounge, but so many are just understaffed and beginning to look shabby 😮. I usually travel on budget airlines now 😂😂😂 so no more business lounge perks 😢. Thank you for another awesome vlog😊

There are Lounges at either end of the terminal . You were at North which is the smaller of the BA lounges, I find Galleries lounge South is generally better personally . Concorde Lounge and First on first floor , Business on second. If you do travel from T3 on a oneworld flight and you are BA Silver or above or travelling business/ first etc , you can use any of the One World lounges , not just the BA one .

Oh Hanna I think airport shops are the best! I was in T5 in June and recognise most of the shops you visited. Tip: it’s warmer here in Oz if you’re looking to get away😅. Happy new year🎉

Hi Hannah, if you fly out of T5 again visit the South Lounge (above the First class lounge at the other end of the building) or the T5B lounge (if you flight is departing from there much bigger lounges and less busy - and the view are just as good if not better. The North lounge is always crazy busy.

I had a layover at Heathrow in late November, it was very crowded and took me a long time to find a seat and had a full English breakfast at one restaurant. I only bought Afternoon Blend loose tea from Fortnum and Mason but did not get a chance to shop more. Really appreciate you show me Fortnum and Mason and Harrods in Heathrow again. Yes, it is sad, no more duty free shops anymore.

My father was a helicopter pilot and used me as an excuse when I was a kid to chat to pilots on civil aviation flights. I got to stand on several flight decks :) Never forget the coffee cups perched over the instruments.

As a former flight attendant, I enjoyed your travelvlog very much. We flew Virgin Atlantic and it's First Class or " Premiere Class" a few years back, and we were quite disappointed actually. Their pre departure lounge reminded me of the restaurant/lounge you were in. way too big and cold. I hope you are enjoying your time with your friend and I can't wait for 2023 and your new videos! Many years ago, used to work at duty free at Heathrow Airport - think it was Terminal 4. Loved it, miss it - but not the shift work, which was brutal! My body clock left the building! Hope you had a great trip!

I had the cheap Charles Revson version of the Aldo Cipullo bracelt with the screw heads in the seventies, lost the closing screw and donated to a charity shop. Took my gullible little sister into a Cartier store to look at the price of the Cartier version, confessed later, but this was the first time I saw it in cuff style. Princess Diana had the closed Cartier style Cipullo, after the divorce if I remember correctly, can't remember if it was from Dodie or not. Thanks for the fun videos in 2022, all the best for 2023!

Always fun videos. Daughter and I came in to Terminal 5/Heathrow from our Edinburgh flight. We actually visited shops and ate at Big Smoke Taphouse (terrible... Worst food and service we had in Britain) in Terminal 2 (on our way home to the States). It was the day of Queen Elizabeth's funeral... Caught some of it on the TV. We visited Harrods and picked up a souvenir tote. Love your videos!

Very cool vlog Hannah! Inside the Heathrow is so similar to a shopping center, that we almost don't notice it is an airport! I, don't know if the same happens in the UK's airports, but here in Brazil, many famous branded products which are sold by "bougies stores" inside the airports, are much more pricey, than they usually are sold by the same bougies stores at the shopping centers. Hannah, did you also notice this same price difference inside Heathrow or at any other Airport in the UK ?
