My mother, who adores this channel and the food tour channel, introduced me to your ferry journeys...we've been working our way through your older videos to catch up...this is my first time commenting -- That room is gorgeous! Great mix of modern and traditional. I've never thought to put cornflakes on dessert, but I want to try it now. That morning view was lovely. My dad likes that you always have orange juice with your meals.

This ship looked very well maintained. The accommodations looked very comfortable and the menu had a nice variety. (But not as musically satisfying as a Sunflower ferry.)

12:42 I love that you added on "Calcium" -- enjoying small bone-in fish like sardines, sprats, and kipper snacks is one lovely alternative to guzzling milk or crunching chalk tablets! That whole dinner looked fabulous. I also enjoy that two of your final items were konjac --- maybe cutting a few kcal there while still having a nice treat? Takoyaki (and friends of) were lovely, too.

0:52. FYI that's the Captain Harlock statue outside Kokura station. 0:58. Maetel and Tetsuro are next to him as well.
@jasonlescalleet5611 Жыл бұрын
I noticed that. I first thought “that’s a rather dashing looking figure there.” Then I saw it again and said “wait…is that Captain Harlock!?” Then I saw Maetel and knew it had to be. I guess it’s true what they say, then. Anime really IS everywhere in Japan.

How interesting that the staff felt it necessary to advise people not to wear the pajamas to the cafe or shops. I can only guess that there have been such incidents in the past which is funny to imagine. I had a restaurant years ago and sometimes a few of my regular customers would come in for breakfast in their bathrobes.

I wonder if maybe they got some Americans on board one time. We can be notorious for wearing PJs (or “loungewear” if you don’t want to acknowledge they’re PJs) in places they’re not appropriate. Such as Wal-Mart…

9:00 - The custom of having staff waving goodbye to 'their' ships is very pleasing. I understand that it's company policy and that participation is part of the job, but even so, the atmosphere seems calm, good-natured and sincere. Here in England, I think the port staff would soon grow tired of being civil and polite and would use their flashing signal wands to spell out rude words or make aggressive gestures, spoiling the moment for everyone. They'd claim that they were "Just having a laugh," and that it was only a bit of fun, but it would sour the event. Admittedly, a lot of the (British) passengers on board would be busy shouting and jeering right back at them, returning the rude gestures, waving their mobile phone 'torches' and generally having a great time, but it'd still ruin the departure for anyone wanting to reflect quietly on the start of their journey. Sorry, guys. That's why we Brits just can't have nice things... 😁

Awesome, a new STJ video! I love all your videos, but the ferry ones are the best! Of course, I would have to have two other people with me to eat that much. You must starve yourself the rest of the time. I'm old enough that I could not manage the tatami style table. Once I got down, it would be very hard to get up!
