FIRST class vs. BUSINESS class vs. ECONOMY plus vs. ECONOMY class onboard Malaysia Airlines A350

WELCOME the first ever One World Flyer 'seat review' series. It's my first attempt so I apologise in advance for any bad spots in the video. On 8th January, I flew Malaysia Airlines Berhad brand new Airbus A350-900 from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK). Malaysia Airlines (MH) flies Boeing 737-800 regularly between the cities. However, for crew familiarisation purpose, MH put its A350 onto this short route for about a month.

Malaysia Airlines and Thai Airways are two major airlines that fly between the airports. Interestingly, the Oneworld and Star Alliance airlines practise code-share on this route.

Totally agree to rename first class with Super Business Class. Apparently MAS didn't do research on competitors' first class instead focusing on buying A350. Look at Garuda, they really fully utilize their B777 and won Skytrax award with the B777.

My dad tried the A350 First Class recently and he said it feels like he’s being trapped in a small compartment as there is only 1 row of First Class suite 😂 too lonely especially when u’re the only one flying First Class hahaha

Malaysia Airlines does not use First Class term any more. Now it been called Business Suite. This is because in government procurement and also some private companies/corporate policy, prohabit to use 1st class, so using Business Suite will waive that 😅.

Funny how different this is from your current video with narration and lots of YOU in the videos. Beautiful aircraft and seating in all classes, but it looks like "legroom" is more constricted by "kneeroom" in economy for sure. And I never knew that flight attendants could remove part of the wall to the First Class suites for wheelchair access.

hopefully that's good changes in my more recent videos :) I actually see legroom to be more important than kneeroom IMO. I don't like bulkhead because legroom is limited. People say there's plenty of legroom but they actually mean kneeroom!

great video ! I don't think MH should re-name first class 'super business' because it might appear that they don't believe the first product is good enough. It would look like they are admitting it is not as good as it should be, and they don't have much confidence in the product

I would think it is a very reasonable idea to change the name of the class due to competition between airlines. While i don't think "super business" is a good name, "business plus" might do.

One World Flyer i think MH must change they business class to super business class, bcause the business class seats now is smaller & narrow, Like Qatar Airways, they business class have a privacy door, so MH must do like that !
