Why’d this just give me so much nostalgia from one of our 2004 A3FE’s…

Oh god that's orgasmic! When are you going to do a driving video? There was another school bus KZbin that put a go pro on the left window so we could see the dash as well as the road ahead. (I'll edit this with the link in a few hours) Do you know how much that thing weighs?

Driving video is coming soon after brake lines get done, she weighs a little of 10,000 pounds.

Looking forward to a driving video that you mentioned. Also any work done by the previous school owner or you on the HEUI pump that these C7’s have issues with? Looking at a 2006 freighliner c2 with a C7 157,000 miles (252,000km)
@schoolbusguy45544 жыл бұрын
This one got 218,000KM and the HEUI seems to be original if it was replaced it was replaced a long time ago. I’ve had it for a year and never had a issue with it. Most of the issues were grounds on the lights. I generally don’t like C2s but that’s my opinion. If the oil was changed at the right intervals the heui should be fine. They can fail at time really. What’s the purpose? Skokie? Charters? Or are you putting it back on the road for school?

Most likely Skoolie. Missed out on the C2 now looking at a 2009 vision with a C7. Do they have cruise control? Can’t get an answer from the district...
@schoolbusguy45544 жыл бұрын
@@Farout397 stay away from 07+ emission C7s unless your a diesel mechanic. They are expensive and not the best. Yes they should have cruise control but maybe not.

Hello, I love all of your videos on this bus, thinking of buying an 05-06 vision. How are they as far as reliability comes? And also, did you remove all of your other videos?
@schoolbusguy45543 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The 05-06 Visions have there fair share of issues, I will tell anyone what I tell you. The HEUI system can fail if proper service was not completed since new. They can still fail overtime and the part is not all that cheap. Depends on what size bus you get but they may lack in power and they may not. I personally love the ones with the C7 but I've seen 2 with a cummins. I wouldn't pay no more than 5-7K, that is if it's in great shape. The common going for them in my area is about 1000-4000 Depending on rust, kilometers, etc. As for my other videos I didn't delete I don't know if they are not showing up or your thinking of someone else lol.
@northbayschoolbusesyt74083 жыл бұрын
Oh, ok! Yeah I must’ve been thinking of someone else. Do you think a Cummins or a C7 would be more reliable?
@schoolbusguy45543 жыл бұрын
@@northbayschoolbusesyt7408 Probably a Cummins but finding one in 04-07 vision is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
@a-dog80753 жыл бұрын
@@northbayschoolbusesyt7408 A Caterpillar will be better in my opinion. The cummins lacks power but it does have a bigger following for parts will be cheaper. The only problem with the C7, 3126 is the HEUI System but cat came out with an update replacing one rubber line with a steal one. Id go with a Cat

Ah, ok yeah I’ve never actually seen a 1st gen vision with a Cummins so I was just wondering. If I can’t find either a Corbeil 3800, a Bluebird 3800, a Thomas 3800, or an FS65, I’ll probably go for one of these. Although it’s pretty hard to find a shorter vision as I am looking for something that at the biggest is a 54 pass. I’d like to go as small as possible but still a conventional. Oh yeah I forgot, and maybe a TC2000 FE if I can find one.
