I've been planning first communions for years. Here is a suggestion: Start with 2 or 3 appetizers with drinks; then serve a meal. Roasted chicken, or salmon or baked ham, steak or lamb. Baked macaroni, lasagna or rice or any cereal you want. Vegetables. Beverages Communion theme cake Coffee, tea. Dancing is optional.

Oh Heather that’s so wonderful third child making their first holy communion . I remember when my son made his , he was in the 3rd grade . One year later they changed communion to 2nd grade . anyway , my son wore all white suit he looked like an angel blondish hair green eyes that was 37 yrs ago . He turns 45 in April . My grand son Michael makes his may 2025 . Sooooo excited . All the things you bought are sooo nice 🌻🌻🌻

Congratulations Zachary! For my son's holy communion I took my wedding dress to a tailor and had a pocket square and tie made for it. He got married this past year and wore the picket square for his wedding day. I also had a white cake and light their baptismal candle.

I send my best wishes to Zachary on his First Communion and to all the others who will be making their first communion this year. I will pray for you all ❤ I don't have children but sometimes a child will make their First Communion at a Mass I am attending and I always cry, too! And I don't even know them 🙂 Your party will be beautiful and I am sure Zachary will remember it for the rest of his life. I love the idea of writing a letter to your child.

Thank yoiu very much for shjaring with us your plans. I have to sadly say that In Poland people buy for the First comunion loptops, QUADY, they give lots of money and they rent restaurant for around 100 people. Its like a weding celebration without God. Your family puts smile on God's face.

I am from a country where Catholic is the main religion. First communion is always a big deal. The meal serve is usually more like the ones served at weddings. If we served anyone a sandwich, people would feel insulted.

Just wanted to say I recommend purchasing from Catholic creators other than Be A Heart due to the creator’s public promotion of viewpoints that conflict with Catholic teaching, such as the work of Father Richard Rohr who espouses and publishes condemned heretical ideas about Christ. There are many great Catholic creators out there, so I just recommend purchasing from ones who don’t publicly share concerning content that can lead people astray. :)
