Mercy Watson chapter books are so cute, not super long, but great for introducing chapter books and they’re a series! Also, on Get Epic all the Fluffy series chapter books. My students love them and there are a lot and often have ones including holidays and breaks !

Wow 7:15 is early for elementary school! When i went to elementary school i started at 9! Has that always been the time your school district starts or just because of COVID?
@madisonleighmaryan4 жыл бұрын
That’s always been the time! I know it is so so early but the good thing is that we get out super early too!

My co-teacher and I always read the Magic Tree House books to our kids for about 20-30 minutes before nap time as something to help their bodies calm down, but keeping their minds active. We have kindergarten prep kiddos, surprisingly they catch on to these stories very well, and are able to summarize what we read the day before!

Those are great books! I’ll definitely consider those!

When I taught 2nd grade my kids loved Sideways stories from Wayside school as a read aloud and any books from the my weird school series. They are light hearted and silly which keeps them engaged and they couldn't wait for the next chapter!
