The recipe for good snow goose hunting includes warmth, wind, and sun. We were fortunate to have all three for the first 3 days of the Arkansas Conservation Season!
The huge numbers of geese in the area were picking wheat fields to the dirt. A local farmer had shot at them to get them out of his fields numerous times, but they kept coming back. This first morning had us setup in one of his fields and we had a great morning hunt until geese started landing in the field next to us.
On the second day, we moved a few miles down the road to another wheat field that the farmer had been trying to keep them out of. The geese were using the edge of the field near a ditch. This gave us an ideal hide that allowed us to utilize not only the wheat field, but also rice on the other side of the ditch.
Getting to hunt the first three days of the season and the fantastic weather lead to a great hunt. We were under numerous tornados and and shot a ton of snow geese!

I think a thumbs up to the camera man is always needed in the comments. I mean what your watching wouldn't be there without that guy doing the videoing. That's the way I look at. But I like the way y'all do your videos. Just little simple side stuff mixed up in the videos make it not so boring. That's the way il do my videos. I'm going to show the hard stuff the stuff you have to put into the hunt. The months of planing ahead. Not just duck droppings. Or deer or what ever. The actual part of hunting. We use Hevi Choke's in our Beretta A400's. Wouldn't trade our guns for the world. They're incredibly fast, have less felt recoil than other waterfowl guns, and have never had a single issue firing. We highly highly recommend them!

Snow goose hunting can be incredible, but it can also make you beat your head off a wall. They don't like to cooperate, but when they do, look out!

Hunting snows in Arkansas is like no other if it gets right! I live in north east Arkansas and every time it snows/ ice here it get good! Iv hunted snows in like 45 but that's the highest. I love huntin snows in Arkansas I know a farmer that loves to hunt snows and he will let me go hunt he's bean fields he'll leave a good beat if beans. And the snows allways go to it when it gets cold. Looked like yall hade some fun here in Arkansas.

In Southern Illinois we hunt Canada geese. Guns hold three rounds, no electric callers, no baiting. When they respond to your oral call or a commercial hand held call it is a thrill. When you learn how to call,you are then a goose hunter. Guide does not shoot or belong in the pit. Two bird limit. We eat them. Killing two Canada geese is more fun than a meat hunt. Call them in,feel the thrill,enjoy the day. Also our Pheasant is two per day. Watching your dog work the birds is so much fun. Hunting means something different to every one.

Who ever the cameraman is great job! UnLike most footage is shaky. But not y'all's! And I know how it fells just to video and not get to shoot! Iv recorder 7 hunts so far and they where only hog hunts and not duck huntin. And I felt left out. But just recoding 7 days I learned a lot just about hog hunting and deer hunting. And all are hunts went sucefull but 2. And the only reason why was cause all I worried about was the hunt and not the killin. And sometime when you get into the killin you forget things and the list can go on. But I got watch the way the hogs act and the deer that did come out and also turkey. I learned more in just 7 days then my 7 years of hunting. Can't wait to record some duck hunts. And learn more about it. And can't wait to have them out on KZbin. Great job guys!!! Even if you do get paid to do it.

What kind of barrel camera did y'all use on this hunt? I've been trying to use a go-pro but every time I shoot with my mount the camera angle progressively falls from the recoil.

+isaac white It's a GoPro. Hand tightening won't hold it. Use a screw drive on the screw that's down inside the knob you use to hand tighten.

Wow! Great video! Just curious... Did you happen to turn in any of the leg bands to the Fish & Game and find out where they may have been tagged? Out here in California on the Pacific Flyway, we can turn them in and they will send out some info about the bird as to where and when it was tagged.. Kind of cool to find out that stuff.. :-)

Carlos Morales It's all personal preference. Most of us use a mid range Hevi Choke from Hevi Shot.

Carlos Morales The Hevi Metal and Hevi Steel 3 inch are both 1500fps. We typically only shoot the 3 inch shells.

PrimeTime Hunting They have their time and place. They're great for mounting them on your gun or head. In good lighting they can record some pretty good footage.

Should try doing some long range shooting with spmething like a .204 or a 17 hornet or 17 rem or 223 while there all landed i mean you dont really have to aim at 1 while theres thousands of them landed just point and shoot life goal hahaha

I tried ordering a canada goose call from Lynch Mob calls. I put in an order for a call almost two months ago and still no call! I emailed them multiple times and finally they said they'd look in to it. Weeks later, still no call. I called them (on the phone, no pun intended) today, no call back. Hopefully I can cancel my order on paypal. These fowled reality guys seem legit, their sponsors are a different story.

An ecaller is often the difference between a 5 bird day and a 75 bird day. It makes all the difference in the world. Many of these geese are 10-15 years old and are still next to impossible to shoot even with electronic callers.

Illegal in Illinois. The thrill of the hunt in part is the geese responding to your call. Baiting is also illegal. In the past your type of hunting was simply called meat hunting with the old 10 Gauge.

in nebraska some people buy the extended magazines for shotguns. you can have as many shells in as you can fit.

Not during the conservation order, the geese are destroying their own breeding grounds so Canada and the US placed an order for hunters to try and kill as many as possible.
