ESL IN JAPAN Thanks for sharing your first day in Japanese High School. You seem gregarious and affable, so you will adapt quickly. Best wishes. A friend of mine, James Corbett, is an expat from Alberta, Canada who teaches ESL (English as Second Language) in a city in Eastern Japan. He went to Japan because he admires the Japanese culture. He married a Japanese woman, and they have two children, wasians, who they home-school.

I remember when i went in a japanese high school, during litterature class i think or something like that, the teacher brought a kendama and asked for someone to come in front of the class to like play with it. I don't remember why, it was probably to explain something, maybe. And yeah this person who came to the front of the class, it was me. ( T_T) I had to put the ball on the stick and it was super hard. I don't know how many attempts i did, i was like "nope teacher, it's impossible" cause i was actually embarassed to stay in front of the class, i just wanted to go back to my seat lmao. Whatever, the teach told me no, i can do it so i tried again a few times. When I achieved to put the ball on the stick, the whole class screamed "YOOOOSHAAAAA" XD I was like wtf as i was surprised but it was super cool and like heartwarming. It was such a cool experience ( ^ - ^)

my high school had 3 , 5 to 6 floor buildings for classes and then i building 3 floors for all administration and offices(teachers) and then 3 basketball grounds and 1 football ground and 1 for indoor stadium and 1 cricket ground and umm 1 volleyball ground plus we had a large garden with many trees and flowers. so i don't know if it was bigger or smaller than yours but it was pretty large

@athenaaalanara5053 Жыл бұрын
hey that's cool but can i ask how can you apply for exchange program?
@SimplyJoyful1 Жыл бұрын
@@athenaaalanara5053 there are many companies you can go through, but for me my town is part of a sister city program with Saroma on Hokkaido so our schools are connected. It didn’t take much for me, though the visa paperwork was a little confusing and I didn’t end up being able to go because my mentor was disorganized and It basically caused be to miss my time frame. If you do decide to do an exchange I would highly recommend going through a company though it may cost more, the people there are trained and will be able to help you. You’re trip will be much smoother.
