So glad you got to go to Canyonlands National Park. So beautiful...like the Grand Canyon. It holds a special place in my heart. When I was completing my geology degree, the chairman of the Geology Dept. was a personal friend of Bates Wilson, the first superintendent of the park. Mr. Wilson invited the Dept. Chairman and a handful of us students to travel to Canyonlands to see the geology. This was around 1966, after the park was established in 1964.. The park had not yet officially opened to visitors; the entrance was a dirt road, gate and barbed wire fence with an old trailer house for an office...everything was new and primitive. We stayed in a flea bitten motel in Moab, which was just a wide place in the road at the time. We got to spend 2 days, with Mr. Wilson as our guide, and saw so many special places including old Indian ruins under rock overhangs similar to Mesa Verde and a hike down into Upheaval Dome. One interesting story he told was that some of the early roads down into the canyons were cut into the rock walls by a one-armed bulldozer operator...that had to be mind-blowing! The confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers was amazing as were all the features of the park. What Adam and Abby showed was an unbelievable transformation of the area from the rugged, primitive park we saw. I feel so very fortunate to have seen a grand park like Canyonlands in it's virgin condition with absolutely no improvements. I apologize for rambling on about the area.

Once again, fun to see your reaction to the places we frequent! Love Moab and the area but it has gotten too crowded! Yes it gets windy; don't leave your awning out! Enjoy the trip.

Hi Adam! My son, Wylie Joe, and I are who you met at camp the first night while we were riding our dirt bikes in the field right in front of you. Your videos are awesome to watch and Wylie thinks it's so cool to watch then since he met you and because we were there too. Hopefully you guys enjoyed the camp ground and by the looks of it you guys got a lot of great exploration done. Moab is definitely a beautiful area. The 10 days we were there wasn't enough for us to see and do everything. We're you able to take your bike on any of the little trails?

Hey Tracy and Wylie Joe! So nice meeting you two. We had so much fun in Moab! We squeezed in as much as we could in the time we were there but man there's so much to see and do. It was one of our biggest highlights of the trip. I am working on the two off-roading videos now so be on the lookout for them soon. Thanks for looking up the channel and hope ya'll will continue to enjoy. We have a lot of videos still to share of the trip.

They have really small parking lots at the park and they fill up fast. Delicate Arch is a hike all up hill, but worth.

America is truly a wonderful place, no matter what your likes are you can find a landscape for those, you could spend a lifetime discovering them all and still not see everything. Passports, We don't need no Passports.

I pretty much make the same kind of comments to those who tell me I need to come to this country or that country. I want to visit my homeland first and see all of the great places it holds. I never had the opportunity to travel before now.

@@AbomAdventures When young I never got to travel either, only when I got older and making some decent money could we. I'm retired but my wife has a couple years left, at a very good job. When she does get to retire we're going to travel much more. You're doing the right thing , getting out and seeing when you are still somewhat young.
