First Day Learning How To Drift!!

What's up fam! Moment a lot of you guys and myself been wanting to see, DRIFTING! This was honestly my first day attempting to link or hit any corners. I think I did pretty good for the first day, I had a blast! Can't wait to go back! Subscribe to the channel, more content on the way :)

The biggest problem I see with most new drifters is that they think they NEED an angle kit, stock angle is fine to learn on. With an angle kit your more likely to over and under steer. You made incredible progress in one day. When I was learning in my old z3 I took numerous track days to link a few corners the way you did in one day. Definitely a quick learner🔥🔥

Honestly super solid for first time drifting, there was a lot of improvement in this 1 video. Only critique I can give is 1. Relying too much on the hydro and 2. not enough commitment to throttle. the driving lines you take will just smooth out over time as you get used to the track.

I recommend getting a drift sim for a pc if youre serious ab getting into drifting its not 1:1 but it seriously helps imo! Edit- also try not to rely on your handbrake in the early stages focus more on hand movements and throttle control

Watching with that steering wheel seemed hard too know where it was without a 12o’clock mark. I’m not an expert just from being in the same position like I’ve done donuts and figure 8s but never drifted a track ever and my drift cars gna be ready in the next week or two for it’s first track day here in CT so I can hit the track for my first time too. So literally same seat

@@Freshhkiicks good job dude tho for real! anyone who would say anything negative about you going out and learning to drift on a track, legally, safety has no experience doing it or driving on a higher level. Great job man seriously! Shit takes balls too slide a 3500lb piece of metal at even 30-40mph and control it. Honestly what helps me the most is watching guys that teach the technical side of drifting. Ex: when on throttle in a slide, when you let off throttle is what will kick the car back the other way. So a lot of making the car go back and forth is throttle inputs just as much if not more than turning the wheel. That’s a huge reason alot of inexperienced drivers loose control when they try and drift a car they get the car sideways it gets weird and instinctively you let off and with a little speed it whips the car the opposite way. Ive done it not knowing that’s what was doing it was letting off instead of more throttle. More gas more grip. Just trying to share shit that helps me learn is all. Again no expert and can’t wait too see another one!

Doooooope! I been waiting for this content. I've been drift my self for almost a year and I gotta say you're a fast learner for a single track day. It took me like 3 track days to get where you left off in this video.. once you get comfortable with more speed and using the body weight of the car( feint entry) and maybe a clutch kick to initiate you wont even need the handbrake and you'll be able to link the whole course no problem..
