@@minswagg5929 I don't think you can find Scottish breed in India, India has mostly Persian breed. You can import though from any breeder. I found a Russian breeder on one of the Facebook groups asking me for 2000$ including delivery for Scottish fold

It shows they have feeling just like us. They get scared and aware. That's how we would feel if left alone in the woods somewhere not knowing where we are.My girlfriend had a few Cats and they were like her babies. 1 liked me and the other two didn't as they used to get jealous of me. I was nice to them and they would come and play sometimes but thats it. The other wouldn't leave me alone. Animals are wonderful.

@@tjp_real hahaha, hmm.. not sure about this. They naturally separate anyway, and cats are domesticated and have been breed this way for 1000s of years. Within a few days they will forget all about their mother and sibilings and fall in love with their human family. I agree with not getting kittens from breeders - instead just adopt adult cats from shelters... or they even have unwanted kittens if you'd prefer. These pure breed cats like scottish folds are essentially cats from have been breed with a mutation, and they have all sorts of health complications - all of this done by greedy humans as they know their mutation causes a very 'cute' look, they can make a lot of money breeding them this way..

I takes a little time for them to adjust to the situation and as an owner you need to be patient. I have allways been a fan of having to cats in the house, they can learn alot of socialisation and behavior from each other, especially how hard playfull bitting and scratching should be. they can also keep each other company when you are at work or sleeping. (I swear my house hosts the cat version of the Thunderdome every night)

That’s only if the kitten comes from two folded ear parents. A reputable breeder only breeds straight eared to folded ear. Many breeders also mix them with British Shorthairs. My Scottish folds are extremely healthy.

@@stephaniemc9948 that is not true unfortunately. While Fold/Fold breedings are especially bad, all Scottish Folds are affected to some degree. There is no way to restrict cartilage malformations to just the ear.

Please do not support the selling or breeding of the Scottish Fold. Every single one of them will experience pain and agony in their life at some point in time. It’s not a matter of IF they will suffer, it is WHEN they will suffer. The breeding of Scottish Folds should be illegal.

I also have a scottish fold, i just got him on 10/29/20. I named him hermes, inspired from the greek messenger, because he's really fast & sneaky. he's not yet comfortable with us, he keeps hiding in closed spaces, i really hope he gets comfortable with us really soon, yours is so cute! update 11/15/20: he became comfortable with us after one week & two days, i think? he's already allowing us to pet him + he doesn't hide anymore and we already got 3 cats as of today (hermes the scottish fold, chanel the foldex & gigo the bsh) + another 1 coming (foldex). hermes is very territorial but i hope they get along really well.

I have a Scottish fold too! Got her on august and I’m still struggling with her! We tried so hard for her to get comfortable but there’s times where she gets so scared out of nowhere! I tried holding her too but she hates it, I bought her a cute cat bed she hates it! She loves the ground!!! She’s lovely! I just need to be more patient and hope that she comes around more!!

What a sweet story. I hope she is well and thriving today. I remember this day with my blue Burmese. He tried to huddle in a corner all day. Looks like she warmed up to you fast! My kitten became the most loyal, affectionate cat I ever had. He just passed away at 19 1/2, and I’m waiting for my new Burmese kitten. He will never replace Signal but he will remind me of him, at least in some ways. ❤🐈. So glad you found your perfect baby!

I do think there is a difference in breeding pure breed or regular cat ( don’t know a good term for it sorry) With breeding you choose the best cats to make better offspring and for keeping the race alife. It a hobby for most. But true some do it to mass produce and make money from it. But the problem is with the domestic/regular cats. They wil always be there. That’s a great cat to adopt!

I’m getting a Scottish fold kitten in 2 months, right after he’s done being fed by his mommy. This video just made me cry and super nervous, this must be really hard for the kitty to being apart from his mom. 😭 I know that I will do anything for him and be a great mom, but it’s just that I also feel bad for the kitty cause he must be away from his mom. Even tho his mom is my neighbor and they can visit each other as much as it’s needed but still…

You definetly can if they happen to get into something dirty but that's it. Otherwise you leave them alone. Its not hard to look up. Just a simple search on google or youtube is all you need. This looks like a pure scotish fold, these cats should not be bred this way as they suffer from too many genetic problems, not fair on the cats. Only way to safely breed them is to cross with a british or american shorthair. This breed is soon to be banned in england

Cute kitten, but All Scottish fold cats suffer from variable degrees of painful degenerative joint disease, which can result in fusing of the tail, ankles and knees. This is apparent clinically as a reluctance to move, and abnormal posture and gait, lameness and short misshapen limbs.

From what I see in this video, the cat moves its tail around and not holding it stiff. I saw the cat curl its tail a couple of times, but what you say is true of some Scottish Folds as they can get real bad arthritis and the evidence would be in a '"stiff tail".

Not true. A reputable breeder will not breed two Folds with folded ears together. They breed straight to fold. Any given litter will only have one or two folded ear cats. Many times Scottish Folds are mixed with other breeds such as Bristish Shorthairs to further ensure that they don’t get two copies of the gene. I have two Scottish Folds from a reputable breeder and they are fine. Stop with the misinformation.

A reputable breeder (one with a conscience) will not breed a Scottish Fold male with folded ears with a Scottish Fold female with folded ears. There is evidence, not opinion, on this fact. It is possible the pair above can breed and produce a healthy kitten, but it is extremely rare. Those that do this are trying to produce as many folded ear Scottish Folds because of demand. The big problem is the majority of their litters, if not all, will suffer from osteoarthritis of a very painful sort. Look it up or offer evidence and not opinion on what I just shared. As a matter of fact, there is a vet in the UK sharing that the breeding of the Scottish fold should be stopped.

It's sad to see how people don't know the severity of this... If Scottish fold has curled ears it has condition called osteochondrodysplasia. Please do your research! Some cats have it bad, some have it mild. So follow how your cat is moving. Slow, careful, clumsy, "lazy". It might be in pain. Whole body x-ray yearly is good to follow how this disease is progressing. Scottish straight cats doesn't have this condition.
