I’m excited about Rooster, because he will be my first horse watching you from start to finish. I love his fire, and with your gentle training hand Amry, he will be a most sought after horse. I sure do want to have a horse in my life, but I am 64 years old with terrible fibromyalgia. I’ve had 2 horses, one was Honcho a 5-gaited saddle bred and my heart horse was Brandy a registered quarter/Appaloosa. When you have horse in your soul, you pretty much wanna be around them as long as you are alive. Bless you both and you are livin’ my dream! Keep it up!! ❤😊

Hi again AMRY Almost missed this and soo happy I didn't. Just a stellar first lesson with him! You are so skilled starting the young kids. An awesome step by step narrative that was excellent foundational info. It's most understandable now how the horses you train finish the way they do. Will be fun to watch as you continue on. Thx as always for sharing. Looking forward to lesson 2 and continued results. Catcha then...

Rooster seems to be all in on the education being offered. He is very smart. I look forward to experiencing his learning process if only through the camera. Once that trust is established it's so cool to watch them figure out what you're asking for and want to bond as a team...plus it sure helps and sure shows if you remember to speak their language, in which y'all are fluent. Rooster's gonna be a good one, hope he's cowy 🐄🙂

I think you did an excellent job with him Amry, and as always, the best thing was you ended on a good note 😁. So happy 😊 great job sweet pea and way to go Rooster, good boy 🐴. Can't wait for more. At the start of this video, your method is different to mine. You keep correcting Rooster until you get a change in direction with him facing you. When I've asked for a change in direction (and I see a bum) I keep at him (cornering left/right/left/right in the same spot) until he faces me, then I completely remove pressure!! Turn my back and walk away, for a moment. Start again. It usually takes about 3 x goes and they learn never turn bum on mum I'll give your method a shot, see which way I prefer 😊
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your method! I love hearing how others do it and I think I can always learn a thing or two from fellow horsemen (horsewoman). ☺️

Thank you Kim! Thats okay! I want them to cross the hind feet because that disengages the hind end. A horses hind end is their motor so if you can disengage it you can control the motor ☺️

Amry, that is a beautiful fence! Did you guys make that? Im guessing its made of tamarack sticks or something like that. You can see through it, elegant! And yes, your articulate narration of what you’re doing with Rooster is incredible! And im interested to see that youre working with a JHeart horse! Do you often do work for them? Greetings from a San Francisco granny, im a longtime fan of your work and the Winn folks horses and work.
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ellen! Thank you so much. The panels were bought and then Cisco tied all the stays to it. I believe they are cedar stays. I don't work for JHeart, we just bought a colt from them (Rooster). I have worked with a few other JHeart horses for other people and really liked them, so I wanted my own. I will be training Rooster to do all things I can. We do lots of ranch work, team roping, and trail riding. Can't wait to take everyone along his journey. Thank you so much for being here ☺️❤️
