Laura , love that beautiful Nebraska blue sky . When you climb up into the cab of that tractor , it looks like a cockpit of a modern airplane , and you are the pilot. Growing up in Kansas helping my uncle on his farm , things have certainly changed for the better. Thanks for sharing your farm life.

When you fill the planter boxes by the bag it reminds me of concrete jobs I've done by the bag that should have been with a pumper truck or at least a mixer, but I did them all by hand.

When I was on the farm in planting the 2 varities high school we did Seed Milo - One of my Dad's brother did Seed Milo for several years. One thing I remember besides (m/f) was we had to check the surrounding farmers crops to keep unwanted cross pollination at a minimum.

We heard you say that you were planting into the night due to an equipment breakdown. But at work part of my job is watching the weather radar and I did peek at it all night long. You all were also trying to beat the rain too? Right? Now when I look at Nebraska on the radar map and I think of you and your family often. You're like family to me now! LOL! On my mind! We love you too! Or to borrow a line from Hannah Barron and her dad (another favorite youtube daughter-father team of mine), "we appreciate y'all!"

It always amazes me how far technology has improved farming , Back in the day 45 years ago when I was on our small family farm we had a John Deere A with a hand clutch ,so it amazes me to watch you not have to do much keeping straight in the field ,it was always a hand to hand experience guiding the equipment .

You could use a towel to lay on the 4wheeler seat, so only the towel gets hot and the seat stays kind of cool

My grandpa work for a lawyer who owned so big bottoms that they couldn't get in to when it got wet. They worked 24 hours a day until they got it put out each year. Farming can be a tough. Hang in there . Take care of yourself. Love watching your videos. You'll have a heck of a farm!

8.00 in Germany we do the Same thing with the covercrop but without spraying it after planting because a living covercrop improves the soil under the corn and helps saving water the covercrop dies around September because Our corn Gers Up to 4.5 Meters in high. So ist DARK at the ground and covercrop doesn' t get light

For the burning hot seat I had that for many years and I would recommend to maybe carry a towel with you so you can put it on the seat and or leave a towel in the 4 wheelers compartments.

I've never heard of female or male corn planting, so I googled it and learned something brand new today. Hopefully you will take us along and show us how detassling is done. I worked for a guy that put a towel and duck taped it to the set of the Polaris range and his Honda fourwhealer, it works great, it’s a lot cooler but it is a little bit to keep clean tho

One thing many forget is the heat in the cab. Staying hydrated is so important. As a former truck driver, dehydration in summer was a real problem with that great big slab of glass in front.
