Hi Theresa I just wanted to let you know in case no one has told you yet, you can leave the door to the barn and coop open, the animals will go in on their own and it’s fine to leave it open over night the animals will be fine;) the only time I’d worry about keeping it closed would be during winter :) and for your hay you can go into the barn and coop and get it from the feeder in there:) hope this helps❤

It’s best to close when you have a lot of animals, so it’s easier to pet them. But there is no need to worry about animals running out from fenced area. They will come back to their “houses” to sleep. I seen people letting animals roam free. On my first file I did fence off animals and wasted too many fiber for grass-starters

@@Camp-z2d oh yes very true! Lol forgot to mention that , that’s the only reason I close mine tbh petting can be such a pain when they’re roaming free 😅😄

Omgosh thank you sooo much!!!! This is great info that I didn’t know!!! 🥰♥️🤩 do you know how I can specifically get the hay out?!? I tried clicking it but it wasn’t working 😅

@theresaoferised You need to have at least one empty spot on the feeding bench. It didn't work because you filled it fully. As long as there is an empty spot, you will be able to take as much hay as you want. But yo get that empty spot, you will need to make chickens eat hay (which means not opening them for a day)
