My husband works in New Orleans not far from the port. If you are ever down that way again or down in south Louisiana..I recommend going to Reginelli’s..their pizza is sooo good!!

Good Morning. Yeah. New Orleans. My ex husbands family was from New Orleans and i was there a couple times years and years ago. I remember going for Mardi Gras. So crazy. Beignets are the best. I love Cajun food. Your room in New Orleans was nice. It is do hot there. I am so excited that you two were able to get away. I am sure it was wonderful. I can't wait to follow your adventures. Relaxing is part of vacay. No need for apologies when early bedtime is more preferable than late night activities. You hardly get truly restful sleep in your daily life so hope you got plenty while on vacay. 🥰

Glad you made it safe to New Orleans. The food you both had sounds good. I have never been to Waffle House before. I visited South Carolina and Georgia growing up. I have always heard of southern food being rich and heavy. However the Mexican food, and the barbecue food I hear about doesn’t make the rest sound that bad. I bet it depends on where you travel to in the south. The pastry you got was a staple whenever my family went to specific restaurant on Cape Cod. The restaurant has since closed. I don’t know how to spell it.
