I was severely traumatized years ago as a teenage, got diagnosed with ADHD. Spent my whole life fighting ADHD. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder, Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

I'm so very happy for you mate, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.

I've just been diagnosed with Adult ADHD at 57 years old. After being on Adderall for one weekend, it was amazing, the different in communicating, and the ability to focus on task at work, at home... WOW ! It did give me a mental boost, but nothing like I had expected. It was a clean, clear mental boost unlike caffeine. I continue to have one cup of coffee first thing in the morning as I wait for the Adderall it start. It has also helped in my relationship. She finds me much more willing to listen to her whole sentence instead of cutting her off because I typically can finish what's she's going to say, and already have the response. I had no idea that this behavior was due to the ADHD, along with other behavioral issues. I've always had 10 to 20 things going on in my head at any time. This medicine Definitely helps me to stay focused on what I need to and not switch over to doing something else before I've completed the first task. I've been on it for a little over a month now and the only problem or side effect that I've noticed is constipation. Which a have purchased a natural gentle supplement to help. 🤗

I just started taking Adderall a little over a week ago after dealing with my ADD for my entire life (I'm 45). After seeing this video, I experienced a lot of the same reactions. But the one thing I did experience after the first hour was a heightened level of happiness. I'm generally a morning person and in a good mood but I really thought I was walking on cloud nine. After a week, what I can tell so far is that it is helping. I'm also more focused on realizing that I can now try and multitask which has been a failure my entire life.

Vedant Swarup that’s a lie. I’ve been on it since October of 2019 and started at 20mg a day. Even if I limited myself to use it for only 4 days a week and tried to build good habits in place on the days I didn’t, it will get to you. You will build a tolerance very fast. Although I have very good discipline in being able to control my urge to not take more, it is tempting. People get too dependent on this drug eventually to make up for them being too lazy in general. So as soon as they build a tolerance and don’t feel the effects, they will take more and more because they eventually start to think they’re incapable of even doing anything without it which is not true. But many people who use it will not want to admit they have a problem and just continue to have a low self esteem and confidence in themselves to function without it, and continue to take more.

I'm 44, finally got my diagnosis for Autism and ADHD in February, and I just received my prescription for Adderall last week, after a few months of Strattera.* This morning is the first time I've taken the Adderall. I had a good night's sleep, woke up at 6am on my own (no alarms or scheduled plans today, so I took my other medications and added the Adderall to the mix, while I was making a cheese omelette with the last three eggs I had. Feeling a bit tired a few hours later, so I'm going to take a quick nap and start fresh later. * I *_DO NOT_* recommend Strattera. It was all side effects, no benefits for me. TMI TIME: Bladder retention (that didn't play nicely with my diuretics for blood pressure) Constipation (which slowed down some of my IBS symptoms), and the most terrible cotton mouth conceivable (that nothing could alleviate).

Adderall is a pretty powerful medication in my opinion, it really does what its marketed to do but that doesn't mean it will work for everyone. But when it does work, you'll notice the little things in life you have trouble with become nothing more than a simple task. Its pretty crazy and if you have ADHD it works wonders cause untreated ADHD can be debilitating.

This is interesting, my reaction was that within the first 2 hours my mind became really very calm and all of the intrusive thoughts kinda went away...or maybe better said is that they kinda lined up for me to deal with one by one. The world is a more orderly place, it's as though someone put a cold compress on my brain. I was expecting something akin to a caffeine rush and am pleasantly surprised to find that it is nothing like that, for me at least. You say that you get distracted by multiple conversations going on around you. I have a similar thing where I am tracking multiple conversations throughout the day, it can be very tiring. The other issue I have is that I get side tracked a lot while working, so that I end up doing my work in a very non-linear fashion. The work gets done but it is really hard for an onlooker to get what I'm doing. I once had a coworker describe the way I work as something like watching a toddler try to get in an escalator, a whole lot of fumbles that somehow equate to success. I'm ecited to see what Monday's work schedule looks like for me.

It's been about a year. Thanks for your comment, it reminded me of this post. Some things that I've noticed that have really helped the meds work better, especially if I have a very busy work day. I noticed that if I stretch in the morning and drink plenty of fluids the meds work much better. I don't know why, but I really hate to stretch so what has helped me tons are increment counter videos on KZbin that beep every 30-60 seconds. That way I can stretch each part for 60 seconds without having to count. Also drinking enough can be challenging because the meds make me not as thirsty so I add Crystal Light to it to make it more palatable and to change up the flavor... Good luck.

Yesterday, Sunday, was my first day any meds for ADHD (Concerta 18mg). I figured it was better to take this med for the first time around family, rather than around co-workers. I took it at 8:00 am. At around 9:30, I felt like I the energizer bunny with a touch of anxiety. I then did my favorite calming activity, which is cooking. That really helped. I then had a great conversation with my brother, an I was able to focus much better. Like your experience, I was physically and mentally exhausted by 6:00 pm, however, sleep evaded me until 1:30 am. Today is a workday from home and I have a light load, Not too many activities that require me to be hyperfocused. The plan for me right now is to take the med a few times a week. @@DrJEMProductions I'm about to take my first dose of 10 mg Adderall tomorrow when my husband can be home with me. Over the 3 and some change decades of being undiagnosed, I developed health related anxiety that manifests with physical chest pain and heart flutters- I've been checked out, they say I'm fine, but the Adderall/heart racing stuff is scaring the crap out of me and as desperately as I want the mind benefits, my anxiety keeps talking me out of it- Which brought me to this vid. May I ask a year after you posted your comment how things went for you?
@DrJEMProductions2 жыл бұрын
@@dainty_af It is common to develop anxiety when you go undiagnosed for so long, and its also a co-morbidity with ADHD. The heart fluttering and pain are symptoms of anxiety so I wouldn't be too worried about it unless you have a family history of heart issues. I'm a nurse and I specifically work in mental health, just incase you're wondering about the information above. It's been going great for me, I find my Vyvanse really does help, it has helped with my mood a bit as well, but I also now have a traumatic brain injury from a guy driving a flat-bed transport hitting and spinning my car 100 degrees in someone's driveway (he came across the yellow line and was 100% at fault). Although my anxiety was real to me, I was literally hyping myself up more than it was necessary. As the KZbinr in the video said in a comment to me, the firdt time it literally felt like I had just had a coffee. After the first dose, I didn't really have that "coffee" feeling. Everyone is different though and sometimes have to trial and error to find the right medication for them. I hope this helps.

Does your memory improve in terms of memory recall function after taking adderall. I have ADHD and I was in trouble recalling the memory I have learnt from my studies and memory required for work and have great difficulties in calculation and financial figures management(can't remember how much money I have in my wallet or bank account, and) And also can't remember the steps of the procedure in cooking recipes so on and so forth. But for me after taking Ritalin, they improve a lot. How about your experience in the above problems after taking adderall. Does they improve? I wonder

@MewithADHD5 жыл бұрын
That's true if you are undiagnosed, people without ADHD feel speed like effects, but if you actually have ADHD it does the complete opposite, because it balances the chemicals in your brain it actually calms you down and levels you out :)

It’s 3 atoms away from pure meth. Just take the prescribed dose and do not abuse it
@TheCanadaBoose5 жыл бұрын
It literally is speed. If you're gonna try it better to start with dexedrine first. Adderall has two different amphetamines dextro (d) and levo (l) and Dexedrine has one. It's easier on your heart and won't cause as much adrenal fatigue. Once you get into it though you will think about it for the rest of your life. Sounds bad and it probably is. Just be safe with it and it's a good tool (but it's not a good long term solution no matter how bad somebody might want it to be) Not trying to be dark haha Started taking it not even a year ago (dexedrine) by choice in my mind to kick an alcohol habit which I did but now I'm a 21 year old kid on 35mg of Dex with his life ahead of him lmao (I do technically have ADD I guess. Teachers wanted my parents to pursue that at 6 years old and I'm so glad they didn't. Nobody under the age of 18 should take amphetamines or Ritalin and there's 2 years olds with Adderall prescriptions for crying out fuck. Just fucks your reward pathways leading to a possibly equally as fucked adult.) Anyways good to take breaks from it. Just went 8 days without it last week. All in all it's pretty "cool" to have a prescription where I can drive around on speed. I work on the railroad so I can just fuckin giver at work too bombing around trains going past ya. It makes changing rails and shit fun you just want more more more go go go. I can see myself staying on it for a while yet but even if I do stop taking it daily and keep it for occasional recreationals you'd be forced to stay prescribed if you're gonna drive. Even the next day they'll still swab ya and it'll be like you were caught drinking and driving. Shrooms got me all in a rant now so I'll just leave it at that and say ya gotta do what ya gotta do to maker thru but there's usually an easy way and another way to do things. Big ol cheers to ya

☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻I think that’s the thing I noticed the most. Was the ability to do simple tasks and not find them agonizing. Washing dishes used to be so unbearably boring. Even if it was just two plates and a spoon. Today as I went to the kitchen and saw a few plates and I actually washed them lmfao. It’s such a hard feeling to explain. It’s like I’m still myself but yet I’m a completely new me.

I just started it today. I had similar experiences. Instead of being indecisive, and lacking motivation, I was able to finish one part of an ongoing project that’s been ongoing for months. I also noticed my attention to that project was better. It wasn’t a lot - I’m only starting with 10mg - but enough for me to go..,”Hey. Something’s different.” I am feeling my energy drop, though. Is this how normal people see the world? Is this what it feels like to them?

I dis have an afjustment period to begin with, for me it was just because i was starting out, the first week or two was up and down, because its a stimulant i felt somewhat similar, and i felt really tired when i came down from it, but after a few weeks i felt great! Infact since then iv gone up two by 20mg! If you feel like its out of the ordinary tho speak to your gp or a therapist, adderal isnt the only way to go and it works for some and not for others, but on the plus side there are tons of different meds that you can switch to that are the same but work better for certain people :) i will put out a 1 month and 6 month video soon so you can see what my experience was and that might help :)

It’s definitely not for everyone! My husband took it a few years back and it changed his personality completely while on it ! He was only on it for about 3 weeks and then I was begging him to get off of it once we realized it was the problem. His doc did tell him not to take it when he was home with nothing to do cuz he could focus and zone in on things that could give him anxiety and it did! But it does wonders for a lot of people! Nothing is one size fits all 👍

I honestly feel sad reading these comments….people PLEASE BE CAREFUL with adderall!! Everyone is talking about how happy they feel, being in a better mood, etc…..those are all feelings of euphoria and the second you don’t take th adderall you will bottom out and become severely depressed. I was prescribed adderall over 6 years ago (I’m 31) and I learned fast that it’s a HIGHLY addictive drug. You will become easily tolerant to your dosage and then feel the need to take more to achieve the same feelings…and before you know it you’ve got a full blown addiction where your meds run out early and you’re doing anything to find more. Adderall led me into a meth addiction (that I’ve been clean from for about 3.5 years) and I never dreamed of finding myself in that situation just from trying to get myself together! I just beg everyone to please be careful with these substances that seem harmless!!

Forget conversations, I can work with a client for half of or an hour and not remember their face, even though I looked at them for enough time, I just never focus enough to actually comprehend and process what I was seeing. The same way adhd kids don't forget to do the stuff parents tell them to do, they just never heard the thing being said in the first place because they were somewhere else at that moment. And those 'trips' are impossible to control :')

@MewithADHD7 жыл бұрын
+Dan Mauro hey! I'm sure it's safe to take yes if your doctor has prescribed it to you and you have Adhd. We're you only recently diagnosed? The mellow feeling in my experience is normal, untreated adhd tends to effect the way we take in information, we can't filter out other things when we try to focus on a task and that is why we cant concentrate as well, we get bored quickly and move on to other tasks to stimulate our brains more, when you take the medication it gives the stimulant you need to be able to focus on one task, but because we are used to our brain working at a mile a minute we think that it's mellowing us out, but it's actually bringing us down to the same speed as everyone else ;) as for other side effects, I personally have only had the mellow feeling, and I crash pretty hard in the evening but tbh its no worse than I felt crashing from coffee. Hope that helps :) if you want to discuss further tho I'm happy to talk to you about it :)

I realize it's been a year or possibly more but I'm a recent ADHD diagnosis. What happened with me is I had a really really BAD week. I was constantly fighting with myself to focus and constantly overwhelmed so I reached out to my primary doc and told her I think I need a therapist can you recommend someone. She asked me to come in for an appointment where I explained what was going on and my concerns about anxiety, bipolar, adhd. I knew something was wrong and wanted to get evaluated. So She evaluated me right then and there. Your primary care doc should be capable of evaluating you, even just preliminarily. If they aren't experienced/knowledgeable enough to make the diagnosis a good doc will know and recommend someone who can evaluate you and say for sure if its add/adhd or something else. Hope this helps and if not I hope you got/are getting what you need in life.

Hi Neil sorry for the late reply! I absolutely had the same concerns when i started my treatment, normally when you start medication like this they advise you to see a therapist of some sort and they help to set you at ease about this. You start out on such a low dosage normally that it wouldnt make you feel like a zombie :) I think our wife is right, if she feels lifestyle changes will help then go for it! But there's no reason you couldn't do both at the same time? In fact I bet once you start on the meds you will be focussed on making all kinds of changes! I'm assuming by now you have had your apt so I would love to hear how you are doing :)

Are you on the immediate or extended release kind? Anybody with insight on which is best type to try first-XR or IR?

I'm on the extended release, I haven't tried the instant release but I struggle to remember to take the extended one and it's only 1 oer day! I cant imagine having to remember 2 pills a day lol

Yeh I'll tell you, I cut 100mg from a 200mg Modalert pill, within the first 45 minutes, I thought I was having a heart attack, sharp chest pains, that go way and come back ever now and then, after 3 hours of use I felt dizzy, and very very anxious, I felt like i've just had 10 espressos in a row, a somewhat of euphoria while driving back home, the colors were popping and felt happy, no special increase in focus or attention or intelligence or any thing like it. I usually sleep listening to podcast on youtube, yeh well I did not sleep that day until like 3am, and it's weird because at that time my body was "sleeping" and my eyes closed but my brain was on, and was picking up sentences here and there, It was very weird, but waking up in the morning I felt fresher and more energized than I've ever been in years. I am self diagnosed person with ADD, not a psychiatrist, I don't how does ADHD medications work, but it certainly didn't on me, maybe it was just the anxiety of taking a pill without prescription or the fear of knowing that no drug is gonna fixed my foggy, wandering brain even if I take it, maybe all this was clouding up the real effect of the modafinil. But I felt like I almost died that way and promised to myself to go find my answers elsewhere than in modafinil.

I took my meds for the first time like 30-20 minutes ago, how long does it take to work? Edit 1: I just realized I can read these comments while I watch the video, I don’t think that’s how that works tho😂

@@scoooop6869 well since it floods you brain with serotonin and dopemine Wich people with add/adhd lack generally it can make you feel more normal if you have add but if you don't it will probably just make you happy and sleepy like if your on weed
