the Metaverse isn't going anywhere. Metaverse will probably get bigger and bigger over the years, which is a very terrible aspect. We can distinguish between internet and reality easily (at least for most of us) as it affects one of our senses only (sight) but this Metaverse is affecting not just that but also hearing, smelling and maybe even tasting. Meta is dying yes but investments in it are also coming from Microsoft, Roblox and other big tech companies.

I was alive when the typewriter was made obsolete. I know first hand how much EASIER it was to be able to edit the DIGITAL version of a PAPER document. no culture or history is "safer" in the digital domain, which is perhaps the LEAST permanent format for a document. we shall see what survives AI but prior to AI the 10 commandments had lasted thousands of years.. computers have only existed for the blink of an eye in human history.. lets see if they don't edit the 10 commandments out of existence in the blink of an eye before we put faith in computers first... simple test, shouldn't take too long to see. there have been plenty of subduction zones. ever see divers who discovered ancient buildings way way under water??? they're all over the world.. just like in some places you find boat docs with ancient barnicles up in the mountains in other parts of the world.
