The world's #1 or #2 least visited country. LOTS of mystery to solve. Our last "T" country, and last Polynesian country (one more for Oceania though!). Also Thanks KERI - she is officially the RAREST person we've ever had as a guest host the show (only about 13,000 Tuvaluans in the world). THIS is an episode you don't want to miss. ENJOY!

I’ve always had this fascination with these tiny island nations in Oceania ever since I visited Hawaii. Hawaii is cool, but I don’t think you really get the authentic island experience when everything is so tourist-y. Now enter these tiny island nations that go completely unknown by most of the rest of the world; there’s pristine beaches, coral reefs, islands to explore, and rich culture somewhere here, the only issue is well… trying to get there in the first place.
@mygetawayart2 жыл бұрын
and there are plenty of islands (maybe not Tuvalu though) that have a much better balance of touristy and authentic than Hawaii, where you can enjoy your luxury beach cabins and pay with credit cards but also be extremely close to the traditional islander lifestyle

@mate Yes, it should- because it's a US state. As much as Oklahoma, Utah, Texas, or North Dakota. You say " Americanized " as if it's bad ( it isn't ), and as if it's a country- which it isn't. A US State. Also funny you mock tourism, given that whole nations depend on it for their economy. Or that it stops you from having the " authentic island experience ", which for some IS tourism. There's always...Guam, I suppose, if you want somewhere more rustic

I remember one of the days I was there, it was raining really heavily and I had to go out to get some fishing line for something. I could have waited until the rain stopped, but my clothes were due for a wash anyway. The path I took from where we were staying to the shops, I ran both ways about 380m, brought me along the side of the air strip for about 140m, running through water that was nearly up to my knees.
