I love discount shopping days , you always find such great deals!! My husband and son would have done the same with those pizza roll /snack prices we always have those in our freezer !!! Needed the words of wisdom on the end. Started by taking car to dealership. It acted up part way there and would not go more than 14 km. Drove with 4 way flashers on. You’re right. It was a bad start, but got into shuttle to come home and hums were playing. Gave me peace.

Chapnaits are Indian bread flour for making chattie all it is little bit of flour with some natural yogurt mixed together then shape in balls then flatten it out with parm of your hand amy dry fry it in frying pan think you call it skillet until under side is bubbling and its turned brown then turn it over do the other side the same when cooked you eat them with a curry and rice very nice indeed

The tomato bouillon is amazing in tomato based soups. My first was a substitute for plain chicken broth. Now I have 2 pound bottles of beef chicken and tomato on hand

Durum wheat is a glutenfree one if i remember it right. Durum wheat pasta tends to be a bit bitter if you don't rince it before cooking.

Thinking of captain crunch the pioneer woman has a recipe for french toast sticks that you coat with a mixture of panko and captain crunch. I made them one weekend and they didn't last long. Plus you can freeze them.

Those watermelon drink syrups are meant for like a restaurant or gas station fountain machine. They are super concentrated and when hooked up to a fountain machine they get mixed with the carbonated water from the fountain machine and then dispensed. Not sure how they would be just manually mixed with water but probably not going to be very good just straight out of the carton.

I went to the store yesterday. Good thing, snow came today. We wouldn't have gotten out today. And we didn't. Everybody in the world was at the store. My dad had to go back outside to get a cart. And they must have called in all their cashiers.

Hey Amy, Happy New Year to you!! I love when I get to see the deals you get from the discount stores. The bacon was such a great deal for sure. Bacon has really gone up here and thankfully I have some in the freezer already. You look so pretty as usual. Love your earrings by the way. Greg can really organize a cart I was sure watching trying to learn some tips and tricks. Glad you are all doing well. Have been busy lately and Ella is a senior this year so trying to keep her motivated to make good grades. Man sometimes that is hard work. Wish we had a discount grocery store but sadly we don’t. Groceries are really going up. I spent 420.00 at Costco and that’s for two people but I did get toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags as well as laundry stuff and that will last quite awhile. The groceries will last a month , I’m hoping. I then spent another 125.00 at Walmart for stuff I couldn’t get at Costco. We have really cut down on eating out. It’s so expensive. I use my crockpot a lot since I work full time with a lot of overtime.

We only shop Aldi & Lidl, but sometimes they don't put the latest dates in back (sometimes in front, because they know people will just automatically grab from the back and not check). Anyway, long story short, just to say, maybe check the dates on multiple boxes, sometimes one can be out of date while another can be within its date. You have to get nitpicky with it, for sure. Anywho, me and my mom are pros at this by now. LOL! We check & dig around in the boxes. We're "those" shoppers that look for the freshest grapes and check every bag. Well, you're paying for it! Might as well get the good ones. Right?

Hello, I hope you are having a fabulous morning. How are the crackers in the green tin? If they are all broken up you can always grind them up and coat chicken in them and fry it. Or use the crumbled crackers as a crust for quiche just mix with a little butter and it is so yummy.

You're very fortunate to have places like that in which to shop because we don't have any of those in Ohio. I've searched for them & nothing. Ohio is not a great state IMHO. And we've just had snow DUMPED on us. Ugh. God Willing I won't have to leave the house. The cars outside are just about buried. I know you understand being from Michigan. You should try chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and serve it with a spoon-full of chilled applesauce on top. It was my dad's favorite way to eat chocolate cake, and I ended up loving it too, my husband tried it after we got married and he loved it as well (and he's a bit picky).

We are facing a possible move 1000kms away from family...we have always loved the area we will be having to move to, but I am just wondering how it is to be so far away from family? Especially when you have little ones. We are trusting the Lord with it all, just wanted to hear how it was for you guys.

We were a family in the Military and moved overseas two times and always lived away from our family . Doing the Gulf War we had just moved to Turkey abt a month and our kids came home after school with all their school supplies in their arms .. that’s how I found out that the war had broke out .. We didn’t even have our household goods yet and we’re living right off the base and we were told to pack and get back on the base . Friends in base housing let us stay with them for 3 days until we finally had to get on plane not even knowing where we were going leaving my Husband behind and of course my kids Leaving their Dad behind .. We managed to go and stay with my Mom and her Husband for about 3 1/2 months before we got to go back to Turkey after the war was over .During those months our children were around Grandparents and Aunts Uncles and cousins and got that family connection so when we went back to Turkey there was a sadness for our kids because for the first time they had had an extended family and then it was gone again . These days it’s not quite so hard because you can FaceTime ..keep up with each other via Facebook and all kinds of technology. It’s always great too of course to get letters /cards/gifts from family through the mail so kids feel special and know that they are thought of … and it’s good to have your kids make and send cards to loved ones too.. just think of different ways to keep in touch . You’ll find that there will be an adjustment but you will also give your kids an adventure to another area of the world and broaden their senses of there is a big world out there ! Hope you have a safe move and that your family enjoys the new location that you move to ..Blessings!
