Love this! We need to downsizing with our pantry too as our youngest graduates from college and moves into her apartment in August. I still purchase like everyone still lives at home and I cook for everyone. Thanks for the motivation as I prep for our grocery trip. ☺️

Teri, I just read an article where all the kids were now out on their own. The mother makes a family favorite once per month & she & the dad delivers. The containers she uses such as a casserole dish or whatever, is what she has the food in & is something to help the son or daughter build up their bakeware, storage containers, etc.. I just thought it was a cute idea.

I do my family grocery shopping ever three months. My size family is 7 in my family. I am a mennonite I make all of our pasta and bread and dinner rolls and hamburger rolls and hotdogs rolls and more all my hand. And we have a grande that I grew our fresh fruit and vegetables the only thing we buy at the grocery store is meat and paper towels and toilet paper. I make our laundry and bath and dishes soaps for my family.

I just love going shopping with you !! Since I’m trying to eat out of my freezer( leftovers I’ve froze), I’ve pretty much got everything I need to keep me going for a little while longer. You are so lucky that you have discount grocery stores. I live in the Florida panhandle and we have 0 discount grocery stores. We only have a Sam's club, no Costco either! No Aldi's, etc. Just a Walmart.

Worsterchestershire sauce is great on any meat... I use it on chicken , pork ,and beef. Pair it with some Soy Sauce, when you cook it in the oven, and Mmmmmm!! I sliced boneless chicken breasts while still slightly frozen firm, into thin sandwich like slices... Laid them in a pan, added those 2 sauces, and cooked in oven. I stirred and mixed and flipped like twice, maybe... But they turned out ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and perfect for topping into salads, as chicken subs or sandwiches, or nibble snacks. Please try it!!

Those tasty kits are amazing i found them at big lots a few months ago and went back after we tried them and bought a ton of them. My kids won't eat them but they make plenty for me to have for lunch for a few days in a row. I mix the verde sauce with sour cream bc i like a lot of sauce. So good.

Great finds at the first store. We buy or make our tortillas and I save my family size refried bean can lightly oil the tortillas and place over the can. Bake I think 400 for 8ish min. flour tortilla taco bowls. My sun would be in heaven geing the gallon of ranch dressing.

Good morning. Sunrise was gorgeous. You must have gotten up early to have done your chores and be on the road for sunrise. We were paying about 3.97 last week. Towards the end the week they skyrocketed to 4.30. I hope they go back down soon. My daughter decided on a college just under 2hrs. I see lots of driving on my future. Most discount stores here have shut down. It's getting hard to find bargains especially with high gas prices can't really go unless on certain days. Wish we had those type of stores. Love from the island of Guam 🌴💗🌴

Love discount stores! Great Hall! Just wanted to share that there is a difference between cane sugar and sugar. Cane sugar is a non-GMO product. Sugar is usually comes from Sugarbeets. Which typically can be a GMO product. So if you’re trying to avoid GMO’s, having cane sugar is a better option. The best option is organic which means it would not be a GMO and all the other junkie stuff.

Yes the box of bacon was expensive, but it breaks down to $3.20/lb, even walmart brand bacon is more than $4/lb. I was so confused by the no bake cookie dough balls, 2/$1 or a case for $1, why would someone get just 2 then? Personally I would get things like that and donate it to a food bank, our church runs one once a week and we try to donate items when we have extra. Gas is $4.25 currently in Central Indiana. People forget that in 07/08 it was $4/gal, they blame the current government but yet gas is almost double in Europe.
