$23.70 for 2 hours is horrible, but since you guys sat there and declined a bunch of orders, some of which we were not shown, it makes sense. You can't make money if your doing nothing and if you are spending all that time declining orders and sitting still you are ofc not going to be making what you should be. I take anything that is roughly $1.25+ a mile, and make $200 a day in 8 hour shifts hitting the lunch and dinner. I avoid slow restaurants or restaurants with lobbies closed. I avoid Aldi's unless it pays extremely well and there isn't a ton of items. I avoid alcohol deliveries unless it's an extremely good pay for it. (Not worth the hassle at all with those.) I have an 83% acceptance rating and so have the prioritized high pays. Almost every offer is a diamond offer. Knowing your area, and the restaurants is literally everything. The map is not always the fastest route to take. Taking into consideration things like traffic lights vs stop signs on your route, short cuts that the app ignores, etc. I think going to zones that you are not familiar with is a disaster unless you plan to spend multiple trips/schedules there learning the area/routes/locations.

In my area (Santa Rosa, CA) and you CAN NOT just go online and drive UNLESS you are Top Dasher or you scheduled a shift in advance). I HATE that!

I dashed in Pittsburgh today. It was awful! I tried various areas and it was slow. The wait for pickup was 15 to 20 mins too. Maybe tomorrow will be better 😊

Hey, Mike! I’d love to see you do a video on DD’s recent seemingly constant updates to the Dasher app. All of its little operational suggestions (“are you in the right place?” “Your camera’s pointed downward”, etc) during a delivery might be good for a beginner, but they’re obnoxious for a vet and only serve to slow me down.

I’m in Canada mornings are great for me 7:30 to 9:30 go home for an hour then 11:30 to 1:30 and I’m done usually $80 to 100.00 got lucky with catering bag orders for big tips don’t like to drive in the dark

In my community you have to be a top Dasher to get on the schedule for any longer period of time. The peek pay is only for the slow times. Sun 5-9 or 1130pm-2am

Mine is basically the same cept you have to be scheduling the first few minutes that the schedule comes up, which is 3pm central time. No need for top dasher but yes the scheduling is very rough to get into if you miss the window of it being up.

hey I been trying multi app I but a mobile iPad in my car hook it up to my car radio. I down load the door dash and I have it on my phone. they both work great. I use my iPad to accept the order and us it for gps and I use my phone with the door dash app ok it too to take the picture for drop off.

U can do whatever the map is just there for u if u don’t know where to go, they used to have it where u just look up the directions urself but added it in the app for more convienience

I have to agree with Superman_305, so if you take awful requests you'll be cash flowing sure but you may be earning less and less net profit until you are actually losing money. You can use those miles as deductions but I'd rather not drive and take assignments knowing that it's not really making me any money anyway.
