@@LindaC616 I came out of anesthesia while having a nightmare about a home invasion, so I started screaming and swearing and trying to fight off the staff. I remembered I was at the hospital halfway through it, and then when I could open my eyes I was in the recovery room. The recovery room nurse was an older man who made fun of because, apparently, I screamed loud enough to be heard through two sets of double doors. I feel sorry for anyone who was at the hospital that day and was nervous for their stay because I'm sure hearing that didn't help!

During the early days of lockdown, when they were using (if memory serves) a converted storeroom as a studio/set, they had only one camera. You always knew when Evie was there, though. Her laughter is so heartfelt and genuine, she was a marvelous audience unto herself. It's wonderful when a couple can still make one another laugh after decades.

In terms of couples on TV, these two are the relationship goals that the majority aim for. They crack each other up after so many years and are still smiles, jokes, and playful teasing. So many famous people with spouses we see on the tube, it all seems like they just want to get it over with because it's more about appearances and business than genuine love anymore. The good nature feels forced, it feels awkward right away, and the moment they're away from the cameras you just know they're rushing to get and be anywhere else. But never with these two.

The love they have for each other is so obvious and it’s wonderful to see. I was lucky to have spent 12 years with my wife before she passed away with a brain tumour at 50. Stephen has sadly suffered personal tragedy in his life and I’m so happy he is so happy with Evie. He is a really funny, smart, hugely gifted comedian, and a lovely decent person as well.
