Awesome Evo man. Just a few things need said: 1st, You're obviously scared of it. You barely get in to the boost and back off. Thats good. Stay scared. 900 hp to the street can easily end in the ditch. Especially when wet. All wheel drive, all 4 get to spinning on slick or wet pavement will be like a slingshot you to the ditch. NEVER punch it while in a turn. Again, IF you ever do break all 4 tires loose the turbo's spool faster and you can be in the ditch before you can react. I love the car, but this is the usual recipe for the same car ending up on it's lid because the driver didn't understand the dynamics behind the kind of power you have now.

50gs Stock evo, mint around 25-35 thous. By the time you buy a evo, and build from bottom up, upgraded computer, bigger turbo, dyno, etc. The price is high. So finish school, and set your goals for a career that will pay you the big bucks, that way you have money to buy a home, and have extra $ for car parts 😆🏎🚘

@@THXIIIRTEEN No the guy sold the Evo before I could pick it up, ended up buying a 2015 STi (Pearl White) with 56,000 miles. IAG closed deck block, built motor, built heads, FP Black ball bearing turbo, red AMS intake manifold, Yellowspeed coilovers, Stop Tech brake kit, all steel braided fuel lines and brake lines, Radium hangar with dual fuel pump set up with Hobbs switch, Cobb flex fuel, Cobb Access port, Koyo radiator, ETS front mount kit all titanium piping, Invidia Q400 exhaust, Grimmspeed downpipe, Perrin equal length headers, and a whole bunch of other stuff everything has been upgraded, even the slave cylinder has been upgraded. Right around 500 on pump 93, and 600 on E-72 and that's not even pushing it very hard it still has 10% fuel available on the ethanol tune with the 1700's I have in it so I'm assuming turned up all the way this set up would make almost 700 since it's closed deck you can run a lot more boost than stock block of course. Pretty badazz set up. This FP Black is the biggest turbo you can use before having to go rotated.... Kid wanted $35,000 for it and I ended up talking him down to $28,000 cash. I've already had the motor and tranny out twice just from replacing parts and correcting a lot of silly stuff from the people who built the motor and did the install. People can spend a bag on a motor and all these parts but still let some shop throw it all together all ratty as hell mismatched hardware missing bolts, etc. But she's running and driving a lot better now than when I bought it

@@eims6 I wish buddy, the money was from my property damage settlement from a guys insurance company he turned in front of me and hit me head on while I was driving straight through a green light, I was in my dream car I only had for a year so far at the time, a world rally blue 2011 STi IAG closed deck block, built motor, stock heads, FP Green turbo, all supporting upgrades, even had fully built interior, and exterior. Interior had Braum red leather race seats, with Braum black harness bar and harnesses, DAMD upgraded STi steering wheel ($800 wheel), Sony touch screen, cleanest interior I've ever had in a car sunroof and all, and the old dude hit me head on. I stole the car for $13,000 the kid lost his license and needed the money, lucked out big time motor was still on the break in tune and hadn't even seen ethanol yet, literally score of the century $30,000 car for $13,000 cash. That guy hit me head on and totaled it, hurt my right ankle bad and my shoulder/neck, ended up getting $26,000 for the car after battling with insurance company and showing $9,000 in receipts from the build. Paid $13,000 for a year with my legit dream car, it got totaled, ended up with $26,000 doubled my money, and on top of that, I bought the whole car back for $3,200 and sold the whole thing for $7,500 and made another $4,000 on top of the $25,000 from the property damage check. So that's the story of how I had $30,000 to blow on a built car. I wasn't in the mood at the time to finance something crazy nice and owe payments every month, or else I would've gone for either a Jeep Trackhawk, Durango Hellcat, newer Toyota Supra, Charger Hellcat (not a fan of automatics unless it's the Trackhawk), Camaro ZL1 6 speed, GTR, etc. Definitely could have financed something dope because I had the $30,000 in cash, was working 55 hours a week, and have really good credit. I almost want to kick myself in the butt now that you said that and got me thinking

@@eims6 you're right I really should have financed something in that elite tier of cars with the 30k I had. But it was middle of the winter, and I needed a car ASAP it was a Friday and I needed a car for work Monday morning at 6am, so this is what I got because I was rushed. If I could've taken my time and kept my rental car a month longer it would have been a different story

thats stupid mate, like totally utterly crazy stupid mate. like stupid cool. them new kids say that whats stupid is cool, but your not cool if its not stupid. Idk about that gauge cluster setup.. also hope you got a dog box or some insane transmission going on that power level is abusive to trans. owner probably deleted PS,Cruise,AC.. that's the general hey i'm going to make 900HP and the ac would explode anyway. 4G63 is a beast. The 4g63 in the evo has a different head setup which seems to flow oil better and lead generally to less issues with the engine when you up the horse power vs the 4g63 in the DSM's its also completely different between the eclipse head/block so you cant use an evo head on a DSM block.. except evo 3 I think.. This car is probably 0/0 streetable. That side exit exhaust would be much nicer if it was on a cutout so you could switch to a normal exhaust for street driving. I wouldn't lend the 4g63 to be known as a reliable platform.. they are prone to crank walk and eating bearings, head gasket failures, all sorts of lovely things. The one in the evo is less prone to some of this, but going high boost or HP tosses all reliability out the window. I hear more people with non running 4g63's than ones I see driving around. -real world experience. -4g63 owner.
@berlow7
@berlow7 7 жыл бұрын
epoxeclipse first off "owner" is me, second off yes p/s actually and abs is deleted, third yes it has a ppg dog box in it. I can't street drive the car wherever I want. and I didn't build it for your approval lol. the way the side exit is built and angled is specifically for the track so the front end doesn't have any lift and the vehicle doesn't get pushed the the side when under boost.
@berlow7
@berlow7 7 жыл бұрын
ac** not actually
@epoxeclipse
@epoxeclipse 7 жыл бұрын
cool mate, I actually do approve of the car just not the exhaust on public roads. cops here will pull you over if they suspect you even put an aftermarket pipe on. I am a fan of the 4g63 I really am, I just cant recommend it for everyone. It is a quite capable platform and if you know what the zinc content of your oil is and run full synthetic change intervals of 2k miles.. flush transmission with amsoil every 30k and the diffs then congratulations you should be the proud owner of a 4g63. Is it for the non mechanic inclined or fist car buyer.. no. I can tell you what every sound is thats coming from my 4g63 like the lifter tic on cold start, the alternator belt slipping when its wet.. I own a full set of torque wrenches and the little clicker thing that tells me what the tension of my belts are and I can adjust them.. Maintenance is the key to owning a 4g63, that and if its in a awd learning how to properly pre load the drive train.. or installing a dog box for super fun ;) most people have no idea about that stuff though and should stay far far from these engines.
