Yeah, everything was there to make a decent and enjoyable flick, except the script. The stunned look at those bones as if they had just turned a corner and saw them. The Grenade in the mouth thing should have worked enough to at least get that creature to flee in pain. They had those spider creatures to contend with anyway, mostly. Having that Master Sargent take th frivolous time he did on that fallen character as they are being swarmed was complete idiotic nonsense...

There is a formula to calculate the speed of an organisms metabolism and the speed decreases with size. Except with hypercarnivores maybe, like Skullcrawlers from Skull Island. But they need to eat constantly to counteract the immense energy consumption and their habitat and biome has plenty food to provide.

Allow me to add to your list: Doesn't get the RPG first for such a big target. Continues to have everyone use small arms weapons even though it's obviously ineffective. Commander stares stunned after buggy has been hit, rather then continuing to fire will the target it posturing. Doesn't order the group to split up to flank. Doesn't order them to try to find cover. Commander has no headgear on at all (ballistic glasses, helmet, hearing protection).

One thing I hate about these movies is the recoil on the guns. If they’re going to have such a big budget on the cast then at least they could do is put Blank Rounds in the guns so we could still get that “real effect”.

I like your idea of having blanks, but i have fired blanks and they really dont have recoil. You get recoil by firing live rounds

Skin capable of resisting the abrasion caused by traveling through the sand at all, much less that fast, will most likely withstand most firearm ammunition. Or googles? Wouldn’t racing through the sandy grit , sand blast their eyeballs into a watering jelly. Oh and, Driving side by side while being chased in a straight line so both vehicles get trashed. Not using the rpg ASAP, endless gun ammo, using said endless ammo that appears to have no effect on the creature at all, but no let up on the shooting. Shooting at the distant bowman with every weapon they have including a short range pistol, oh and scoring zero hits. Etc etc, A lazy, stupidly written movie that just insults and angers the watcher until he stops watching in disgust. I give it a Dog Shit rating.
