This footbridge is real-world location in city of Osijek, Croatia - the city old name was Essek. Reddit says this map is based on the terrain in bosnia.

This map is also available for Arma 3, in the Steam workshop description it is written: "Based on real world location in Bosnia, modeled after reference and satellite images". In Arma 3 it is 169 km², in DayZ it's 1/4 of the size of the Arma 3 map, in it current state. But it will be expanded with every update, until it has 169km² too! @@DeadKaspar I don't care what steam says. Too bad this is pedestrian zone only, so no streetview, but everything around that dock is exactly the same as in Osijek. The riverside walkway, flowerbeds, streetlamps, buildings, stairs, texture and color of everything, bridge, streets connecting to the riverside walkway, their angles and slopes, hell even graffiti on the bridge remind me of the real ones. I''m 99.5% certain that it is real Osijek.

i remember esseker from arma 2 dayz. I didn't play a lot but i remember fondly. great to see us come full circle and have some but not all of the things we had TEN YEARS AGO😂 I'm not having a go, i seriously love dayz so much. however i love the private citizen modders more. i hope these great people get time to enjoy their hard work.

I’ve learnt from watching and playing dayz that you can tell if a player is uncon or dead because of how they are laying, if their head is to the side and their right arm is stretched out like a plane and their left arm is pointing down then they are dead, if their left arm is pointing down/out and their right arm is pointing up while they are looking at the ceiling then they are unconscious

I played this a bit ago. I remember you can spawn just outside the city. Also the big apartment complexs in the flooded areas typically have alot of good clothing loot. But not much for guns. But if you need ammo. The rooftops tend to have random ammo sometimes mags, and attachments.

When Livonia was introduced it was called the 'First DLC' for DayZ, so I'm hoping at some point there will be a second DLC that will also likely be a map (as to not put items/mechanics behind a DLC paywall). Sadly, I doubt the modded maps we see made by community members on PC (Namalsk, Deer Isle, Esseker) will ever find their way to console. The amount of money it would take to build a system to give away unvetted modded content for FREE just doesn't make sense. MS and Sony don't like 'unvetted' or 'free' or spending a lot of money facilitating those things. And they sure as fuck can't charge for modded maps/content to recoup their losses when it's all free on PC. Just a hard spot to be in for everyone. Unless you have a PC. ;)

I just wanna say: Jeeeeeesssuuuss, DayZ really did change a lot in last few years. I stopped "following" it (watching streams and vids) a long time ago, like before base-buildings were even a thing, and this definitely looks and feels different. I have mixed feelings about the progress tho, I think I kinda fell in love with that raw DayZ mechanics and with all I've seen now I feel kinda disconnected and alien. Still supporting RMZ, you were one of the great CCs out there. :)

A lot of places require pumps to keep groundwater from flooding low-lying areas. If nobody is there to run the pumps and there's no power, the areas will flood.

@TheRunningManZ just a tip that I believe is still true. The way you can quickly tell if someone is uncon is 1. Breathing 2. They are bleeding(this doesn’t always happen tho so be careful with this one) 3. The legs/feet are not inline with each other. I’m almost certain this one is 100%. The only time a dead person has their feet not inlined is when the get killed while uncon in the first place. Disclaimer tho I haven’t played much in this new update so I guess maybe the feet thing might not be true anymore but I doubt it. I mean I’ve been doing the feet check forever now😂 Edit:I got curious if number 3 was still true and I did happen to see the guy you killed at the end did not fall with his feet inlined. I guess maybe you could of knocked him first with one round then before he fell completely you killed him. I doubt it tho. So maybe number 3 isn’t so anymore. 🥶. That one was my favorite one.

As a console player(xbox), so jealous of modded maps like this. The debris and the flooded areas with docks between buildings are amazing. Watched your twitch stream where this content came from and enjoyed it immensely. Also, can’t remember if it was you or another streamer said Chernarus looks like everyone tidied up before evacuating unlike Essekers overgrowth and trash and I think that’s hilarious. I've been playing that Map on V++ Deathmatch. The Snowstorms makes getting the shots much harder. They just need to add Waders so you can hide in tall Reeds and Duck hunt People. Use the Range Finder as your Scope the Optics work even without a Battery.
