First EuroSprinter in Athens (10/1/2018)

Thank you! My understanding is that presently, the overhead wire is live until Thitorea. Do they change locomotives at Thitorea, and then again at Domokos? Or do they put a diesel locomotive before the electric locomotive between Thitorea and Domokos?

The overhead wire is live from Piraeus to Lianokladi, they switched it on at 15/12/2017. Currently they put two diesel ADtranz locomotives before the electric one at Tithorea and remove them at Paleofarsalos. On 1/2/2018 the line Tithorea - Lianokladi through Kallidromon will open and all trains will go through it. We don’t know if the electric locomotive will work through the new line in the first days, but it is possible. 🙂

Δεν είναι η πρώτη στην Αθήνα. Είναι το πρώτο δρομολόγιο με επικεφαλής Η/Α.. Πολύ καλό βίντεο, μπράβο!

Ισχύει. Η πρώτη ηλεκτρική αμαξοστοιχία του ΟΣΕ για επιβάτες στον σταθμό Αθηνών ήταν στη γραμμή Αθήνα αεροδρόμιο στις 30 Ιουλίου 2017, αλλά ηλεκτρικοί είναι και οι συρμοί του μετρό που κάνουν στάση στον σταθμό των Αθηνών (σε άλλες πλατφόρμες) από το 2000.

Κάθε μέρα στις 10:18 (αναχώρηση) από Αθήνα με το τραίνο 52 προς Θεσσαλονίκη και στις 12:24 (άφιξη) στην Αθήνα με το τραίνο 53 από Θεσσαλονίκη (προς το παρόν).
