Hello Adam, thanks very much for your kind comment on my video of Airbus A380 at Stansted. It's nice that you noticed what I was trying to get across in the teaser section of the video (just to try and big the event up even more!) I have posted a couple of pics on Facebook, but I'll go through some more, time permitting and try and see if I have any of the 748 & a388 next to each other, quite hard as they were on opposite sides of the airport. Hello Shane028, I agree the A380 isn't exactly the prettiest of aircraft flying, but it is still an amazing feat of engineering and seen close up and against other aircraft you get this massive sense of scale. Hello Simon, Stansted has one of the longest runways and is actually a preferred diversionary airport or use in emergencies etc. as it has specific stands and facilities to accommodate. BA does not operate scheduled flights to Stansted (at the moment) this aircraft was on a crew training/publicity flight. Thanks for watching

Hello Mraviationguy, there are a few mounds at STN that are far enough back and high enough to get views over the fence line and I do use those from time to time to get different angles, however for this video I was up a ladder. The fence at STN is very high and currently there is no proper viewing platform. I hope that helps.

Hello MD11MAD, Stansted actually has one of the longest runways in the South of England, and is a known diversionary airport too. The A380 was more than capable of landing on the runway, although from memory it needed a followme when taxiing, not dissimilar to Manchester. BA used STN and Manston for crew training flights, as well as other airports and for a bit of promotion as well I think. thanks again.

+boffis123 Hi Boffis123, yes, Stansted is very much home of Ryanair. EasyJet have a reasonable presence too, as does Flybe as of this year. However STN is also an airport that gets a number of one-off or special flights such as these BA A380 training flights. THanks for watching.
