@@JFlower7 wow that is amazing!! Do you have any recommendations I could add to future orders? Things you can't find anywhere else or the quality at azure is just unmatched?

You might contact your local or State farmers (Cooperative) extension office. They often have canning classes. I learned a lot of my canning techniques this way. The hands on instruction was very helpful. Nice Azure haul.

The Nancy's Greek is the best.

I saw the Greek for my December order but they don't have the case available. Thank you for the comment. Now I will have to try it for a future order!

Great Haul! I love Azure products. I have quite a few I always purchase like: grains, dairy, spices, flour, etc. I’ve always been impressed. I also love the community aspect and meeting like minded individuals at drops. Happy Holidays 🎄

I love your haul! I just got a case of 6 half gallon jars from Target yesterday, they were on sale for 14.84. Did you get a better price?

Hey @@simonab3130, thanks for the comment! It was a really neat experience for my first Azure order & I hope to do more in the future and give updates on what our family loves/continues to buy! As for the half gallon jars, that is a steal for Target! Great find! Azure's prices are cheaper for 6 half gallon jars if you buy them without bands or lids. I have so many I did not need them and therefore the price is $13.38 currently. If you bought with bands and lids, it is $15.18 for this month. I have noticed the prices fluctuate based on sales/month-to-month, so it looks like you got a great price! I have been watching Azure's prices for around two years although this is my first order. The Azure brand canning jars are a fairly new product though and are comparable to Ball and Kerr (though I sadly found out my reusable screw on Ball brand lids don't fit the Azure jars!)

What do you mean when you say a “drop” and “multiple families”? Do they not ship it to your house? Lol help. I don’t know the typical procedures so I’m confused😂. This is awesome tho!

@@Kb-gh2rk hey thanks for the comment!! I was very confused as well when first looking into Azure. Coming from the city, I'm really only used to bulk food stores like Costco or Sam's and the nearest one is an hour away from where we live now 😅 so for Azure, they are based out west (I think Oregon, maybe Washington state) and are solely an online store. You have until a certain cutoff date to shop and place your order and then the delivery is the week following. Once a month, they have semis that take your items as well as the items of other families at your "drop" location on pallets to a location where everyone goes on one day to pick up. Generally the locations are in bigger cities as there is a collective order dollar threshold that must be met (we are trying to start one in our hometown and the threshold is $9000 total for all of the orders together before we can get it to be a certified "drop"). We meet at a church parking lot about forty minutes away at a specified time and date with everyone else who has placed their orders in our vicinity and we all help unload the truck. It took about an hour and we had around 50 families there. So, November 15 was my cutoff (when I could no longer change my order) and then our pickup was the following week. I got an email a few days before stating the specific day and time and we had to be there or find someone else to pickup our order. So it is less flexible than going to a bulk store but Azure has so many items that I can't find locally and also has more organic options than any other store that I know of! Azure is different from Thrive or markets like that because although it is online, they don't charge a fee to shop on their site. You pay for shipping which can be expensive depending on how much space on the semi your items take and you don't get the items shipped to your house, but I have found the prices to be unmatched. For example, Redmond Real Salt on their official website is almost $30 more for a big 25lb bag than what you can find on Azure! Obviously there are pros and cons to everything, so I'm not saying Azure is perfect and it also is not the complete substitute for Costco as I had hoped it would be (we still shop there for diapers and other things) but as our family ages and we have the resources to store larger bulk (more 5 gallon buckets, glass storage jars, etc), I think Azure could completely replace our shopping at other bulk food stores! (Other than our occasional trip to Amish country 😁) I hope all of this makes sense! If not, feel free to respond & I will do my best to answer your questions!!

I think I would put one half cup black beans to pints, 1 cup to quarts. Good luck❤
