Lindsey Stirling has become a sensation since she took a classical instrument and put her own touch to the violin. She started playing the violin at the age of six and has moved on to doing covers and many collaborations with artists of different genres. Lindsey was a contestant on "America's Got Talent" in 2010 and was Xed in the quarter finals. She was told she would never able to fill a concert hall in Vegas. Since then, Lindsey has released 4 albums of original music and a Christmas album with 3 original songs that she wrote. She has been back to AGT as a performer twice, and finished in second place on "Dancing With The Stars" in 2018. Lindsey is so talented and very much a chameleon. Her dancing pulls you into the music even more than just hearing her play (which is lovely enough on its own). The visual adds to the intensity. I absolutely love her with Pentatonix in Papaoutai. I had to go look up one of my favorite solo works from her. Could not remember the title and I just watched it a couple days ago. Anyway, it's First Light. Underground is also one of my faves

I have had the luck of being able to see Lindsey live three times. She sells out concerts worldwide and always puts on an amazing show. She was on Americas Got Talent but the judges told her she wasn't very good and would never fill up a show. Hah. Haha. She almost quit because of them but kept going. Now she puts her music out on her own label so no one owns her music except her. The majority of what she does are originals she composes. It is a wonderful rabbit hole to go down. I look forward to seeing more reaction videos of her music from you. Enjoy the journey!

Papaoutai is the other collaboration with Pentatonix and Lindsey. Another winner of an American tv talent show that ended up running through KZbin instead of more traditional music promotion by contracted record contract like Pentatonix had to do as well. Interestingly it is sung in French.

She doesn't actually do concerts. Alot will only be videos. Live performance for an awards program doesn't happen very often. She also has collaborated with Peter Hollens - a cappella layered video singing parts guy - another that you will only find recorded. Crossovers with Peter are also Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix together on Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair and Tim Foust from Homefree on several products including the Misty Mountains. The American A Cappella community is pretty tight. Avi is featured on a Homefree release of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire album. Lindsey

Excellent reaction! Go look at the Paste Studio vid. It's just her, her guitar player and drummer in an acoustic performance. You can really see her talent with the finger and bow work unfettered by backing tracks or other distractions. Same for her cover of Green Days' "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" . She's a true multi-hyphenate. She writes most of her songs, directs or creative directs all her work, co-produces and edits all her videos. In her early days, she also built sets and sewed costumes. Her early videos are worth a look simply to see the budding talent. Also, take a look at her Covid inspired String Sessions, particularly the 'Wasted on you" with Amy Lee. Fantastically nuanced performer, the harder you look at her videos, the more you see. BTW, what's up with that bat?

Master of Tides is really interesting and has a "making of" video as does the Radioactive one with Pentatonix. I also like her and Peter Hollens Star Wars performance. She does a video with John Legend as well. Another artist deemed not commercial enough by standard corporate sources.
