"Still They Ride" is a similar feel as this one and I think you would love it!!! Journey was HUGH back then. Sometimes when you were changing radio stations they'd literally be on every station. Concerts were great back then, some day you'll see videos where everyone has their lighters in the air flaming. Merry Christmas Sweetie, I know this one will be hard for your family. Prayers and Love to you and yours.✝️🎄💖

Over the years, I have been so grateful to have seen Journey for this concert in Houston, Tx. This tour was their 1983 Frontiers tour. They performed a number of sold out shows and some dates were back to back! When they were in Houston, they had 3 sold out shows, 2 of which my best friend were at. And I must tell you, yes!! The way that guy (whom you pointed out) is exacting how we were!! Steve Perry was such an amazing Showman, and no matter where you sat. He always made you feel as if you were the ONLY FAN in the house!! And yes!!! Having a lighter at a concert back then was indeed a MUST!!!!!! And you held that lighter high and proud!!..lol... Those were the good ole days!

Journey definitely dominated the early 80’s. Their Live from Houston ‘81 concert is a must. ❤ Steve Perry. Known as the Voice.

Friend, if you liked this, you can't help but react to the 1981 Escape Tour, you should particularly look for the videos of Houston live! The image and sound quality is spectacular. Journey with Steve Perry is a one-way trip and you will never want to get off that train. Greetings from Tandil, Argentina! 🇦🇷🤗

Journey was my favorite band growing up. Saw them live 5 times in the late 70's/early 80's and no cell phones so we made sure we came with fully loaded lighters! This song is actually not one of my favs of theirs but still a great song! I recommend "Wheel in the Sky" (official video), "Lights" (official video), "Open Arms" (Live in Houston, 1981), "Mother, Father" (live in Houston, 1981). That'll get you started!

This group has more hits to name . Hope you check more of them . FAITHFULLY , BE GOOD TO YOURSELF among a few to check out .

Yeah, the best voice ever, Steve Perry, nobody sings like him and he was Journey. it's not the same without him. Be sure to check out more, the “Escape” concert with “Open Arms”, “Mother, Father” and more. Also be sure to check out “When you love a Woman” and “Faithfully”, the only songs I like better in the studio version. Otherwise I prefer live performances because the bands at the time (Journey, Dire Straits, ELO, Eagles, Cinderella and more) were so good. Thanks for your responses and have a wonderful holiday season

I went to a couple of music festivals in arrowhead stadium in Kansas City in the late 70’s. There were a bunch of bands and it lasted all afternoon and evening 🥰👵🏼☮️

🌸 and I'm not really into them either but I guess maybe because I'm from the Bay area their song called "lights" I really do love and I think it's really because they're from San Francisco as well and this is a song about being on tour and longing for home. I think you might really like it

The guy that you said was feeling it was actually a celebrity. His name is Alan Hunter. He was one of the original MTV VJ's (Video Jockeys), when MTV used to play videos all day. Please do "Who's Crying Now" Live from Houston 1981 next. Thanks and God Bless
@reneeheknowsmyname677119 сағат бұрын
I don't think it's Alan Hunter. The guy in the video, his hair is parted on the right side sweeping to the left with alittle body to it. Alan's part is alittle more to the left and straighter. Looks like him though!

Of course we had lighters at concerts in the 70s and 80s! How else could we fire up our J's? LOL!! We'd sit right in our seats and smoke, sometimes even a wayward J would make it down our way that wasn't ours. :)
