A week of so ago, I had a good to and fro with an anti-Mormonist on FB. He said why don't you go back to reading your phony scriptures! I pointed out kindly that for 2 years out of 4 we study the Old Testament and the New Testament and asked him "How do you know the Holy Bible is true?" He didn't reply any more.

@@byuman2885 I hope you find peace. Does the LDS church trigger you? I tend to avoid topics that trigger me because it stresses me out and makes me angry and be rude to strangers on the internet. You’re greatly mistaken, and have no proof! Why would you give up something so precious, if you have no proof?! You gave up a beautiful Church, and for WHAT in return??

It is possible to do research and still retain a testimony of the truthfulness of the church and of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. The key is to not lean up on the arm of flesh or our own understanding but to be guided by the Holy Spirit through personal revelation. And to faithfully wait upon the Lord. Because I promise that the assurances and the answers do come and discernment will be granted unto you to distinguish between truth and error, darkness and light. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint is the true and restored Church of Jesus Christ. In this church alone it's found the priesthood keys to administer the ordinances of salvation and eternal life. As Peter said, when Jesus asked the apostles if they would also turn away from him, "To whom will we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life."
