The first guy with the amazing vocal and dread hair style is Taeyang. He’s largely influenced by Chris Brown and B2K. Bigbang had many R&B song in early days and Taeyang’s voice has very strong R&B vibe. The pink hair with deep voice rapping is TOP. He is an OG Korean rapper. Before his debut as an idol in Bigbang, he’s an underground rapper. And he is Player 230 in Squid Game II. The fourth guy is Daesung, another lead vocal. He and Taeyang have the strongest vocal presence in Bigbang, but they have very different vocal styles. Taeyang is more R&B, while Daesung has more powerful strong rock vibe. This guy can sing!!!!! You may check out his solo works “Anymore” from 2017 Japan concert. Of course, all these five guys can sing, and you will know that if you check out their ballad “If You” live performance. G-dragon, the green hair in this video. You already knew him. He is the leader of Bigbang, and he writes and composes almost all of the band’s tracks. He’s a genius, no doubt. The guy you said “his singing was okay” is the youngest member. But let’s forget about him. He was involved in a serious scandal that dragged himself and the once biggest group down. But let’s not talk about that shit here, and focus on their music. Trust me, Bigbang is a gem. They do a lot of genres and are very versatile. Keep diving into them!!!!

Everyone was curious and eager to meet people with similar interests. International Kpop fan culture was so different. For many years, my experience was a lot of fun... that was before the toxic generation came along.

Bit of fun story about this song. Fans started bullying all the members and yg for the full album and new songs for MADE album because they promised fans there would be new songs. So they were like, you know what? F*ck it and made whatever and this is the banger they came up with. This came out a few days before 2016 ended and still managed to shatter records and got song of the year. Everybody praised the genius of the lyrics. Legend behavior.

In order of solo parts. GDragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., Daesung, then Seungri. I am a Boomer and found East Asian entertainment online around 2007. Kpop in 2008. This now great grandmother saw The Beatles live at the Hollywood Bowl in S. California in the 60s. Only saw them because there was way too many screaming constantly. It was what happened at all of their concerts. I consider Big Bang way better than the Beatles. They are my all time favorite group. I wasn’t following any crowd when I went looking for decent tv shows and movies in 2007. I had given up on most of ours. Along my solo way I found stuff that had me laughing or crying. Not angry like ours. As far as music, I found Japanese pop first. Then I found Kpop. Bi Rain and McMong the two that got me hooked. Didn’t understand the language but didn’t care. I was smiling a lot more. My family decided I had lost the last of the few marbles I had left. Still think that. Some basic info. GDragon first got signed when he was 8. Older than Michael Jackson when he debuted but younger than Stevie Wonder. Saw their early performances on tv back then. He went to YG when he was 13. He is a genius songwriter. Wrote or co-wrote the groups songs, his solo career songs, and some of their songs for their solo careers. It is fair to say that he and Big Bang made YG. Each member has a different voice and they are all great to me. Except for the one that pretty much destroyed the group. Seungri’s voice is good, but lots of singers sound like him. The group sings a variety of styles of music. Not stuck in one or two genres. “Flower Road”, which was their last released single as a complete group, has no MV. Just their pictures and lyrics. I suggest you give it a listen. It is awesome. The guys are idols of idols. BTS are major fans. You might have heard of them. I hope you enjoy the trip as much as I did. Check out their live performances as a group and when they soloed while still together and since. PS. I still smile when I here this song. 😆😍😄😊

The one with the vocals is Taeyang, he IS the R&B-ish vibe of BigBang, you should look a his solo music, I could give you a list but it'll be too damn long hahahahaha BigBang has so much versatility because all of their members has it unique style that adds up to the concept that you culd never box that group in one particular genre. GD and T.O.P in the rapping, Tae with his r&b style, Daesung with a very soul-ish vocal and Seungri kind of tie things with how mellow he can sound. They really did experiment with their music, thats why I love them.
