Been driving an i30 for almost 2 years now here in NZ, finally deciding to go to track next month !! Was so afraid I'd damage the tyres or something and end up with a lot of bills I wouldnt have money to pay for lol (put all my savings to buy the car) Do you have any tips for me mate? as a first timer ? Cheers

Great to hear you going! Basic tips would be - bring a tyre guage/deflater - running them too hot isnt much grip and will cause way more ware n danger 2. Take your first session slow, learn the track and gradually increase speed. 3. Traction control in sport will save you in most situations and won't be an interference much. Our cars can easily get the rear end kicking out so sometimes its a surprise Everyones driving is at different levels so unsure of your experience or feel. I'd say its most safe to go flog it on track then to do it on the street like many do, just stay within your limits 😆 I've only taken 2 wheels off due to the day I tracked with no brakes (I got to put some more videos out 😅😅) otherwise I've never overshot or lost it because staying within the limits of my ability and traction control when I'm still learning (ill end up turning it off by the end of the day) plus everything the car is, keeps me going. Hope that ball of stuff helps 😅 I'm still not the most experienced though have learnt alot now with 7+ track days completed
