Long-time player, watched this on a whim. Thought you guys did a great job aiming this at new players and talking about important stuff for a new player to think about and be aware of when picking up the deck. Would definitely recommend this for someone I was introducing to EDH. The product isn't for me, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the video!

I am working on upgrading this deck for my daughter and it looks like it could be a lot of fun. A lot of the adds that you are mentioning all sound really good so I'm going to give some of them a shot. I kind of wish you guys had done removals too though.

Idk how they’d make a video talking about what cards to add but not what cards to take out. Especially if it’s for beginners doing their first upgrades.

I think forcing attacks is a great and interesting subtheme for this well known archetype. I believe 39 lands are too much, I'd swap two of them for Marble Diamond and Watcher of the Spheres. I'd also find a place for Siren's Call.

Similar to Angler Turtle, being a non-flyer, I am using Stormtide Leviathan. it has been useful a few times where my opponents had huge attackers that I didn't have anything to block with nor want to take the hit to my life total.

I bought this as a first time commander deck. I've changed it quite a bit including swapping the commander to morska to help with the hand size situation and give access to green. I'm not sure if I want to but I'm thinking about trying to get the white green and blue archetypes all into the deck. The first strike one may not be needed but the hexproof pig seems good.

⚡️New player. Sorry if this is a dumb question⚡️ With Vencers Journal is it on upkeep every time it’s my turn for the rest of the game? So if I have 10 cards i get 10 health then next time it’s my turn if I have 7 cards I get 7 life points again and continue this until someone can remove the artifact?

yes that is the case, if the journal is on the battlefield at the beginning of your upkeep it triggers and you get the lifegain

Archetype of Imagination looks like it could be a great General but I guess that's not possible since it's an Enchantment Creature. Is that correct?

It could be your Commander but because it's only Blue, you would have to remove all White from the deck. Your Commander colors dictate what colors are allowed in the deck
