More about the Topwater PDL 120 here - bit.ly/tw120pdl...
Hit the water at about 2pm targeting Fluke for the shakedown run in my new kayak, the Old Town Topwater 120 PDL. Overall it was a slow day but I jigged a couple Keepers and a few more shorts and lucked into a decent weakfish.. I got off the water once the wind from a thunderstorm came in hot. Old Town shipped me this kayak to review and use, heres what I thought. It performed as well as I would have hoped, I cruised about 3mph comfortably, had plenty of extra storage space I didn't use on this minimal afternoon trip, stood comfortably, barely got a drop of water on me as I paddled hard into a 15-20mph wind, the steering was simple, it had immediate response as i turned the rudder, instant reverse was clutch for maintaining my drift. I am not one to pay much attention to detail or notice any little specific pro's/cons, but everything was smooth, the only drawback I can find is it weighs 87lbs which makes it a pain to throw on top of my car, which I already knew before getting on the water. Once on the water though I couldn't find anything I didn't like about it.
Hopefully it continues without issue.

I used a stradic 4000 in this vid but I would recommend the daiwa bg instead as imo its a better reel and for less money (thanks matteo for the recommendation).
