I was thinking about this a lot and came to the conclusion that it is probably not a good idea to encourage players to spend two years of their life building a netherite beacon, because they want to access some feature. Instead I think it would be cool If you could have a simple 3x3x1 beacon of Netherite blocks that would work as a full beacon. It would allow for quick transfer, give you the option to fit the beacon to tighter spaces etc. while still being bit harder to get than a full beacon from other materials I think.

Consider the two year projects of these hermits. Tango: makes one of the biggest survival "mini" games known to minecraft. Jevin: Got lots of netherite for a beacon that wont be used since the season is ending. We now have something greatly impressive, and something that is impressive, but leaves you asking why? The answer? Why not.

I have done that once 2 years ago on a server with friends, and I bought every piece of Netherite I could with my own ressources from them in addition to what I had mined. And although it was easier that way, the grind was unfortunatly still just insanity. Congrats to your beacon, and I hope you will never ever have the urge to do this again ^^

great accomplishment, I've grinded for a double netherite beacon with my friend on an smp (planned to do a full 6 beacons), we've only used beds because it was cheapest way to mine for it, but it was so painfully slow

Because every netherite block requires nine netherite ingots, which themselves require four netherite scraps and four gold ingots, you'll find that this beacon is equivalent to four gold pyramids, and THIRTY SIX ancient debris pyramids. I mean this is just insane man, amazing work.

Respect, man. I did this about a year ago on the Jon Bams subserver, except I did it manually -- a fortune 3 pick. I'm curious if you have a ballpark for how many hours you put into this, sourcing-gunpowder included? I estimate mine took between 250 and 300 hours of effort total over 100-odd calendar days (but I did practically nothing else during that time period and didn't have the demands of being a content creator that you have). Like Doc said, there are not very many fully documented netherite beacons, but for sure the list of people who have completed one is one of the shorter lists in Minecraft, and you've well earned your place on it.
