Btw the characters in Welt's background are from Honkai Impact 3rd. Welt is actually the same Welt from HI3 and has managed to cross into the universe of HSR. While a lot of HSR characters share names with HI3 characters, Welt is the only one who is actually the same in both games.

Usually people simp for seele haha. Pro tip, you might as well just auto the golden calyx for the exp books right now so you can max everyone out. Pela is a top tier debuffer, so you'll get long time use out of her if you like her enough to build her. Also, hoyo hires nerds and stuff, so they love injecting this type of humour. They also do cool stuff like hire vtubers for voice acting and have even helped fund fusion reactor research.

The guy in the background of his splash art is void archives, who he traveled into the HSR universe with, and likely the "somebody else" march 7th talked about when talking about being awoken after being unfrozen. The girl with red hair in his splash art is Nikola Tesla, his wife. Welt Yang lore is fun and I can get more into depth, but I am too tired for that RN.

4:14 "was that all crits just now?" Yup! I don't know if you've started reading up on character building guidelines yet, but Hoyoverse games favor crit builds for most damage-dealers. The general guideline is a 1:2 ratio for crit rate to crit damage, and it's not uncommon to aim for 75% c.rate and 150% c.dmg stats on DPS characters, although there are some characters who don't benefit as much from crit builds and get their damage elsewhere.

If you run out of tickets (there’s 2 types) when you pull for characters, you can get more from the shop when you exchange it for jades you obtain from different things or from starlight which is what you get from doing pulls. (There’s different tabs that’ll let you exchange it for tickets) REMEMBER, gold tickets are for the special banners and the grey looking ones for the standard banner. Almost everyone new I watch makes the mistake everytime they buy more… 🤣🤣

Oh just so you know: 1) When you send your units for 20h for an assignment you can still use them in your party. When choosing who to send pick the ones at the top with an arrow. That increases the rewards. 2) Each month in the shop you can buy 5 normal tickets (permanent/standart gatcha) and 5 special tickets (event which last for a few weeks each.) For those you use the currency you get when you do any kind of summon. PS. Herta is actually a god send for new players as she's quite strong. Hope with the next 10 pull you get what you want.

Make sure to check the exchange shop, from doing warps you get materials that can be used to get more warps if that’s something you’ll want :))

I always found that farming gets much better once you have access to friend support. Going into a discord to ask for someone from same region as you ID, then using that to get lvl 80 characters feels great. I regret not doing that and then burning like 80 fuel I think on relics.

55:18 *laughs in RNG pain* My tip as a Day 1 player, do not hunt for Relics just yet. Just like in WuWa, wait until you reach a certain threshold like with WuWa it's Data Base 15, in HSR it's Trailblazer Level 40 Equilibrium 3 which unlocks Gold Relics but I honestly suggest starting at TL 50, more chances to get gold relics. Also I know you mentioned a while back that you don't want to go back to Herta but the SU is actually important because not only do we have relics, we have Ornaments lolz those Ornaments give more bonuses that help your characters become stronger, it's not even optional. Not to mention, two of the important endgame modes there that are pretty much lore dumps about the Aeons and others but they're also harder content, too. Herta also has a shop that sells very universal 5* LC but you need to do SU weekly. You wouldn't need to do SU anymore once you unlock Divergent Universe (only reason to do SU is for the added endgame modes: Swarm Disaster and Gold&Gears.) Relic and Ornament farming is absolute h3ll, that's why I'm thankful for the auto feature which make farming less tedious. Anyway, if you're looking for how to build specific characters, there are a lot of guides out there to help you. Don't worry about meta and focus on team synergy to get through the story. One tip I can give , every month there's a shop in game that resets , you can get 5 special passes and 5 normal passes there every month. To get the currency for them you just need to make pulls. Also never use your stellar jades on anything apart from exchanging for special passes. Cheers. Also Hook is love Hook is life.
