Oh God, tell me about the 'right jacket' thing. I'll be forever scarred by my experience at the new members' event that was meant to welcome me to the club I'd just joined, but instead had me thinking that clubs are run by saddo control freaks. Basically, I went in the bar wearing my Under Armour 'windshirt', and a committee member started passive-aggressively mithering about how you shouldn't wear jackets in the clubhouse. By this time, he'd already told me where I could and couldn't put my man-bag. I don't think this happens in any other sport.

By another of golf's stupid rules, Coach's putt wasn't "in" since the ball wasn't more than half below the level of the green. That rule ought to state that if the ball has come to rest within the boundaries of the hole and is not moving, it is in.
