Kind of tricky with the castering rear wheel. Maybe make a platform area for rear wheel for it to spin around on so it doesn’t fall off when changing direction to back off? Just a thought.

A few small odds and ends to fix isn't bad for any used Machine. It beats the heck out of the crazy prices for all this new junk they sell these days. It looked great to me. As always I liked and shared. All my very best.

The small odds and ends are the stuff that I'm able to get done. I've got some major projects that I don't have. The resources for. I've got stuff to keep me busy for a lifetime

Glad you got the starter back in. I think you will like this machine. You live in beautiful country!

Question, are you running the engine at wide open throttle? It needs to run fast, so the rolls throw the hay all the way past along those outter shields. My Dad had one of these self-propelled haybine's when i was in my early twenties, the first one had a Wisconsin engine on it, the second one had the same engine as your's. I am 68 now. Also those shields should polish up after running some hay over them, then the hay will slide much better. 👍 We have a NH 1499 12 foot cut machine with Diesel engine that we still use for cutting hay to this day.

@@stevehetrick2676 Yes, that is a lesson that I learned from a friend and it works a lot better when you run it wide open
