I am myself born out of Sheen khalai aka Hindu Pashtuns( we call our language zaban-e-Pukhtoo) whose ancestors fled to India during partition. We are a group of 300 Hindu families and 70-90 Sikh families, actually the Sikhs were originally converted from Hindus and Pakhtoo Muslims during Arjan dev and Sikh empire time( that's just a story even believed by Sikh pashtuns and also Hindu pashtuns). In contrast to linking of Pashtuns with Isarelite tribes, we Hindu pakhtoons also maintain our origins from Mithra( we call him Mihran). All Pakhtoons were originally Iranian folk religion, followed by Zorastrianism, Hindu-Buddhism before coming to Islam. We have preserved our original Iranic culture of pre-Islamic Pakhtoons with some Hindu influence, we call Durga maa as Anasti/Anahiti in our Pakhtoo language who resides in the heart and is the source of power. She also represents the fire/passion/emotions of heart, so fire is very important in her ceremonies. She looks very different from a typical Hindu goddess, she wears a golden cap covered by a veil and traditional pakhtoon clothes, holding a shield and spear, sitting over a buck. We also celebrate Navroz( rest Indian Hindus don't have such a thing, only Parsi Zorastrians and some Shias celebrate authentic Iranic holidays as Indian Islam has become very Wahabbi in general). Originally, Pashtun Hindu literature is written in Arabic and Landeh script( its a variant of Kashmiri Sharda script, similar to Punjabi). There are various wanuns aka bhajans of Anashti and we do have our own version of Shahnama. My tribe is Karlani and i don't speak the language, most genz have switched over to Gujrati or Hindi nowadays.

@@ShaileshKumar-io2zn yes and no. Pakhtoons are people who follow Pakhtoon Wali and speak Pashto, irrespective of religion, although majority Pakhtoons are Muslim. We are an Iranic ethnic group. There are few Christians, Hindus and Sikh Pakhtoons as well. Pathans are Muslims that are descendants of Muslim Pakhtoons, who invaded and ruled parts of South Asia. There's a great deal of difference between the two nowadays, most Pathans in India don't learn Pashto/Pukhtoo language and rituals.

The Doctor replied that if he sold his clinic and his home he would get only Rs. 12 Lakhs. That would only buy him a Jhopra in Bombay. So he was staying put. When faced with hard choices, we have to choose the one that is best for our situation and hope for the best. Hopefully she will become the voice of the Hindu women of Pakistan.
