Its that time of year again, FIRST ICE on Cascade Lake and fishing for jumbo perch. The ice was 2 inches of clear ice and I didn't venture far from shore, please be safe out there.

We are lucky to have this world class perch fishery. Two world record and three state record perch have come out of this lake I believe. So they def get much bigger. In feb massive perch get pulled out! Thanks for watching.

Yellow perch, walleye and crappie top three fav fresh water fish to eat. Only had opportunity to fish for walleye once so far so much fun.

I will see you monday - looking forward to standing on the ice after a 10 month seperation from it. A little secret known to really die-hard ice dogs, there is another lake that makes cascade look like childs play, not the size but the numbers are fantastic 70-80 day catch.

@@reservoirdogoutdoors6035 Yes it is on the reservation-the last day I was able to fishg the pearch I had two nonstop spurts of 25 fish happebns in about 15 minutes. They average 1.5 lbs, I can only immagine what they are like this year. Very healthyu fish. Small heads. Large bodies. Lots of fook and a picture perfect water for pearch.

Hello Ashlyn. I always walk out and this day was the poison creek access. There’s also Van wyck, sugarloaf and a newly renovated Boulder creek access. Do good most of the time it’s the depth of water that’s more important in my opinion. The deeper the better. Thanks for watching, appreciate it
