First Impression: Kopparkant Razor & Mac Duff's Christmas Cabin

My first Aylsworth, the Drakkant, which I purchased a few weeks ago, instantly entered my top 4 razors of all time! The Kopparkant was listed as the same geometry as my original plate Drakkant so I immediately purchased one and can confirm it’s the same. As for the shave, perfectly efficient, you won’t find a more comfortable razor, the design and aesthetics are fantastic and the weight, handle design and balance are perfect. These really are spectacular pieces of shaving art!

Great Shave Kaleb! I cannot wait to get my Kopparkant. I agree on Macduffs base, it's outstanding and one of my absolute favorite. Is it sad that every time your said evergreen I thought of the Racoons and the Evergreen forest...

I shaved with mine yesterday. This thing is so smooth. The angle is different but I knew that going in. When I hit it right, wonderful. I'm going to use it again today with same software and concentrate on the angle. First use was on 4 days growth. Great DFS. Expecting BBS today if i do my part. Razor finish is flawless. Love the handle. I could justifiably say it reminds me of shaving with the Rocnel Sailor 2022 on setting 2-3. I've been looking for a 3 piece everyday razor for quite some time. This very well could be it. I'm using a Nacet blade. Great product! Will there be other plate options in Brass in the future?

So glad you're enjoying it so far! There will definitely be a Plus version of the razor with a .99 mm gap coming early next year.

I forgot to mention - the smoothness of these razors enables me to perform some buffing passes in the areas where even the most aggressive razors won’t work on 1 or 2 passes and blade exposure prevents the buffing technique. I get a perfect BBS, 100% irritation free shave with these razors that I could never get with a positive exposure razor - love these!

Another great looking razor, I just might have to get this in time. I just got the Drakkant and am loving it after only 2 shaves. You just don't know what a high quality razor is till u try one and the Drakkant is simply an engineering marvel. I just can't say enough about it. Cheers

What's up friend! I'm looking for a gentle razor, I have sensitive skin, I use a Rockwell 6c, I can only reach plate 4, this is already aggressive for me. I'm looking for a razor with very good efficiency and little blade exposure. Do you recommend the Kopparkant?

I have not tried McDuff’s yet. On my list for sure. Razor looks gorgeous!
