Thanks for sharing! Been riding since '79 and will say no tire can stack up against a Michelin, ride quality/plushness, handling/steering feel, roundness, balance with little to no weights, longevity, confidence...in my experience they are well worth the premium price and probably cheaper to run in the long haul because of their longevity. Got some for my cb500x and can't wait to get them installed. May put them on my MT09sp too. On a side note my 2nd fav brand is Bridgestone but generally speaking I would say if a michelin is a 10 of 10 Bridgestone comes out around a 8 of 10.

I agree on the value for money, my OEM Bridgestones only lasted 1800 miles, and they are not that much cheaper, if these last at least 4k miles (should be more unless I burn em up lol) then the mile per $ wins. The higher the miles go, the better the value per $. I know lots of people choke at that cost on some tires, these being over 300 a pop, but when you take that and compare to a $150 per tire, and those last 1/4 the miles, it's just smart money the $ per mile wins AND your ride experience is far greater. Thank you for watching and sharing!

Nice bike, congrats on your purchase! Please refresh the stream with the 2nd impression on the Road 6s after you leaned it over 20 degrees. The statement at 07:54 (15x better than S22s) feels off base till then. Thanks

Had the Road 6 GT installed today on the K1300R. First impression is much better lean angles compared to the stock Metzer. Steer is more responsive and changing directions is faster. Hoping to get 18K to 20K km out of them. I paid $650 AUD for front and rear installed.

True lol. But the SX models are so corked up it's crazy! Now that I have it un-corked, it's so nice to have the H2 it's meant to be! Just some old guy cruising down the road with saddle bags on a trip, cruising along, ready to obliterate a vast majority of other vehicles at a moments notice. Don't get me wrong, 207 crank HP stock and tons of torque was fun, but now almost 300 crank HP, it's like being shot out of a cannon when you snap that throttle, the tires hold that power remarkably well! Only a hand full of times have I felt the traction control keeping me in check, but Kawi's TC works so dang good, it does not drop like a hammer, just keeps your tire on the ragged edge and you driving hard. These tires are doing WAY better in that area over the stock tires, and they never had this much POWAH!! lol

I imagine you went with the "gt" version of the road 6's since your kawi is so heavy....would be my move. I've got the regular road 6's on my mt10 but I'm carrying FAR less weight. Agreed, best tires I've ever had but I've had road 4's, 5's and now 6's as I put on some fairly big miles some years.

No, non-GT. 98% of the bike is fun back road/canyon carving, I never carry a passenger, and only put the bags on to take a long trip, which has yet to happen lol. But I got them haha. Someday soon I hope! Currently bumping everything up, should have videos on that build, will roll out about 260HP to the ground! Now if it would stop snowing lol

Hi, só afete 1 year hoje ia tour opinion about the tyres? A Bought a kawasaki ninja 1000sx and o want to change the tyres o want know if the tyres are good for lean. My kawasaki cames with s22 tyres. The previous owners gets 45° with s22 Michelin r6 can achive that lean angle? Thx
@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition Жыл бұрын
100% can for sure get that angle with ease, and then some, that's up to you how far you hang off it lol. My bike is now up to 300HP and these tires are handling all that power with ease! I have not been able to get a great amount of miles, only about 500 miles this year so far and they still look like new! Turn in and how easy it is to steer is amazing! I do want to do a ride video but running 2 businesses is rough for time. You will LOVE these on the 1000 SX over the S22's, I promise that!

Hey John, Thanks for sharing your first impressions! You put up good content rather than some jokers on the tube just putting nonsense stuff! I am from India & ride a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, Great machine in all ways! Came stock with the Bridgestone Battlax S22, I have done almost 4500 miles/7300kms on the odometer, The thread is gone and I am looking for a change, Will the Michelin Road Pilot 6 be a good options compared to the Pirelli Rosso 4, Thanks!

I have not ridden on the PirellI can not say which will be better, but I am loving the Road 6, wish I had more time to ride, only 200 miles this whole summer, and they held every bit of the now almost 300 crank HP in the canyons. I really want to get out and ride more and do a video of a short ride, the road 6 was a whole other world compared to my S22's, why I did the video, impressed me greatly. Thank you for watching! And I was going to get the same bike as you before this, I do love the 1000SX, great everything bike!

WAY behind lol. Been so crazy this year very little time to focus on the channel. I have videos showing all the parts and the bike tore down, then after, and will get some ride videos, only put 200 miles on my bike this year, which is sad lol. But I have to say, the whole set up with Brocks is how the bike SHOULD come! It is so wicked, it was almost 3k in parts, but man, 3k for another 70 Wheel HP is worth it haha. I WILL make some videos this summer, winter here and cold, and got snow last week lol.

So far, we have about 1K miles on these tires for the summer (not enough riding) and been holding the near 300HP of this H2 amazingly! I feel very confident in corners and heavy breaking coming down from 160-170mph bursts. Might try different tire pressures, I run 36psi front and 38psi rear for the most part, if I know I am going to ride more aggressive I will do 40F and 42R on the H2SX, single rider, no bags.

I bought a tracer 7 with the road 6's in oktober 2023 and have done 2600 km's now. The weather was terrible in the Netherlands last two months. In these 2600 km's I can't see any difference on the tyres. Of course a lot less horsepower, but the tyres are wonderfull.

I completely agree- I just put a set of road 6's on my 06 Hayabusa ( with 90k miles) and wow! You actually get what you pay for. The rear ran me 350 & front was 300, more than I've ever paid for bike tires. That said, unreal feel and comfort. I broke them in for a good 80 miles, and after that, it was on... ride it like you stole it. I was slightly worried about PSI leaving the shop because of the steering sensitivity. I almost felt like I was gonna tip over. It took a few miles,(after checking the pressure) to regain my confidence and relax with the new shoes. My previous set were Metzler RoadTec, and they are an outstanding tire hands down. However, the Road 6 is my go-to rubber ( as long as I can afford it). Great video! And beautiful Kawasaki!!

I could be wrong, but it looks like they put one of your tires to turn in the wrong direction. My guess would be that the front needs flipping on the rim so that the rain groves funnel out rain towards the back and sides of bike instead of pushing out rain into the wind.

Your call, the power 5 would be more track worthy if you are doing that, but if youride the streets as well as canyons, you will go through 1-2 MORE sets of power 5 to 1 of these sets (in the same miles). For a sport tour, putting down miles, daily driver, and still hitting canyons, these are amazing will win life, so saving money overall.
