The best time to go to Boracay is between October and November. The monsoon season is basically done by then and the rates are still cheap (you can still find 30-50% of hotel rates). The best part is the water is warmer and calm compared to the monsoon season, the algea bloom is not present, and there are less tourist/people.

The wind shift depending on the season, You went to Boracay nearly rainy season that's why the big waves. If Jan to May you may have calm ocean (sea). I also see more algae.

private transpo all the way from Caticlan to your resort! that's luxury for sure. public transpo is a huge hassle

Boracay.. in 1980... it was just us.. on the island.. three kubo huts, primitive bed.. crabs for dinner and lunch and walking without zero people.. a few chicken here and there. now its soo populated.. so many resorts glad i was there with my family... and an island... when no one was there...riding the motorized bangka for 30 mins... Caticlan airport was not even concrete.. just gravel.. ah yes.. wonderful islang.. now sooo bz 😂😀😮

Fact: Boracay and Caticlan is part of Municipality of Malay which majority of people are descendants of Malay people from Borneo way back at 14th century.

When i went to manila they actually have those long buses. So you can move to one terminal to another idk if they have for all but double check for next time.

Go to the opposite side of Boracay island. Just an etrike away. There is no wind and the waters calm....find Boracay Newcoast (east side) beach and Puka Beach (north) too
