First Impression of Moldova (Least Visited Country in Europe)

Have you ever heard of Moldova? It is considered to be the least visited country in Europe (Based on some metrics anyway.)
There are not many flights into the country, but I found some departing from Budapest, so I told myself Why Not, hopped on a plane and now, welcome to Chisinau - the country's capital and by far the largest city.
What are the prices here? That surprised quite a lot. What is the city like? How does this combination of Soviet era architecture, Orthodox churches, cool green parks and large boulevards work?

was in Moldova and Transnistria (try the self autonomous region of Gagauzia), it`s actually very underated nation. I`m surprised you found the prices relatively high?

well it depends what you compare it to, but the prices in supermarkts and restaurants were really comparable with prices in Prague, which isn't really the cheapest city in Europe... it's still cheaper than Croatia or Montenegro though... on the other hand, like I said, taxis, public transport and other services are significantly cheaper than in Central or Western Europe... :)

I really want to visit Chișinău, Moldova. But someone told me there are lots of street dogs, stray dogs, is it true. Because I am scared of dogs . But I really want to see Moldova. Pls guide

Eeeehm not really. Maybe one or two, but nothing above the normal. But if you're scared of dogs, better stay out of Georgia,,there are hundreds of them. But Chisinau should be OK :)

So Moldova has to import alot of stuff even some foods, and since imports are in $ then that would reflect on the prices of most foods and stuffs you find and the store or market
